Nightmares may be the subconscious
mind working overtime during one's sleep trying to fix
problems.
Nightmares may be the emotional turmoil continuing on in the subconscious mind
during sleep.
Nightmares may be demonic interference, especially at night when our defenses
are down.
Nightmares may be demons masquerading as humans who rape us when we are
asleep/defenseless.
Nightmares may be demons masquerading as invading alien abductors trying to use
our bodies as hosts.

If you are a parent of a child having nightmares, be sure to interview (without
being critical) your child & monitor/record his
dreams. Teach your child how to resist/refuse
the nightmare. Stand

"Around the age of 40, she started having nightmares.
These night visions were so vivid & demonic that they forced her to cry out in
her sleep...
During these encounters, demons weighed her
down & tried to keep her from waking...
One day, she visited the nearby park for
fresh air. While jogging, a stranger’s dog broke loose from its leash &
chased her...When the owners caught up to take hold of their dog, they were
amazed. They had never seen their dog act like that before. Julie
returned home & wondered if it were possible the neighbor’s dog had picked
up her own, partnering with fear. If so, she realized she was actually
handing over power to the enemy. She called a friend who encouraged her to
take authority over her home & dream life...
Julie blasted worship music
& recited Psalms all throughout the house. She anointed each doorway with
oil & even went up to the attic to release peace. Following these acts, her
fears shifted & the atmosphere over her mind & home changed. From that day on, the nightmares stopped...
Some people believe that ungodly atmospheres are the same thing as demonic
spirits. While I do believe demonic atmospheres are presided over by the
demonic realm, I do not believe the atmospheres themselves are actual
demons. Atmospheres, for me, are the prevailing spiritual realities created
by man’s partnership with the entities residing in the spiritual realm. As
the messages these spiritual beings emit - are agreed upon & partnered with,
the resulting atmosphere expands. Therefore, I see atmospheres, both godly &
ungodly, as cyclical partnerings between broadcasts from the spirit realm &
man’s participation with them. Just as Julie’s partnership with fear
gave it increasing power, demonic strongholds grow as communities digress
from God’s Word & embrace lifestyles of sin. As more people partner with the
messages that are announced, the demonic influence grows. This cycle
continues until either repentance is made, truth is revealed, or God
intervenes. The church is designed to operate as bringers of the Kingdom of
God & to release hope, peace & prosperity into these communities where demons
work to release the opposite...
When evil spirits gain a place of power over a region, they broadcast lies over
the entire area, much like a radio station. We have the capacity to either 'tune
in' to these channels or to switch them off. Part of our responsibility in
tuning out the enemy’s voice is for us to switch the channel we are listening to
that is emitting a sinful broadcast. But doing so does not actually shut
off its transmissions into the airwaves. We need to release God’s opposing
(opposite) messages into the airwaves to actually stop these transmissions."

Binding are Kingdom Keys to be USED. The human soul is a shadow/refection of
Holy Spirit in that both consist of multi-layers. Every sexual partner or
violent experience triggers an exchange of soul layers, or at least a negative
deposit between layers. This needs to be reversed via repentance &
loosing/returning of another's deposit/layer +
taking/calling back one's own given/taken soul piece,

becoming whole again.
Finally, one needs to invite the Trinity to fill oneself up with

This eliminates root causes of most nightmares, as nothing in common with
the enemy remains. Should one think his prayers/declarations failed, when
a nightmare attempts to return, in Jesus' name just resist the "symptoms," the
attempt of the enemy to trick one &
regain an old foothold.

Speak to it. Say,
No. In the name of Jesus, no.
Go. In the name of Jesus, go.
Go fear.
Go torment.
Go terror.
Come, Lord Jesus.
Come, Holy Spirit.
Come, Father God.
Come, angels of God to defend me.
I cover myself with the blanket of the blood of Jesus.
I am safe.

Fighting our/my/your demons can be a figure
of speech, for we all struggle with temptations, the flesh, disease & aging.
Addictions are particularly bothersome. Addictions to bad habits, food,
chocolate, coffee, medications, illegal drugs, alcohol, porn (soft or hard),
sex, etc is a battle/war. In our mind & in our body there is a constant
preoccupation & struggle to not do/think something. To humans, these demons are real,
whether in our mind or in our body. To make matters worse, these demons
can be evil spirits. If and when they are, we need to call on Jesus Christ
to send His warrior angles
to come down and assist us. Satan wants us to fight in our own strength.
God smiles when we quit & ask Him for help.
Jacob wrestled with an angel of the Lord an entire night, but would not let His
holy angel go until God blessed him. Many of us struggle, especially at night
when our defenses are down due to medication and sleep. The enemy has the
upper hand terrorizing us at night when we are in bed asleep. Therefore,
read aloud the 91st Psalm before you go to sleep. If you awaken, yell
aloud, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. Those words will terrorize your enemy.
The tide will change & you will begin to win your war.
Another recourse is to go to bed with holy
religious music &
to turn on music when woken by nightmares.

If evil spirits are tormenting a person, the initial reaction may be
negative, as demons
do not want to be disturbed; they want the upper hand.
We can tell any evil to be quiet, not to speak, to shut up, in the name of
Jesus. Both Jesus & His followers did that,
on numerous occasions.
Resist nightmares and bad dreams/thoughts by speaking. One can speak to the enemy or to God. One can speak in his/her mind or preferably out LOUD. The point is, when one is speaking, he is taking his attention away from listening. It is like trying to jump & scratch your head at the same time; it is hard to do 2 things at the same time. It is hard to listen to a nightmare & sing to God. So when nightmares come to bother you, Retaliate by praying out loud. Whisper, hum, sing or praise. Better still, dance, on your way to the bathroom & back. Laugh, even at yourself.

When Bob was a young boy he did not
have the power, the knowledge, the ability to
recognize when a thought was from God, when a thought was from the devil,
when a thought was
perhaps from himself & the devil took advantage of it.
You had
suicidal thoughts as a child.
BOB: Along with these night terrors & visitations, I had
these thoughts going through my
mind: you’re worthless, kill yourself, sometimes audibly, sometimes literally
something jumping
on top of me. I would come to my parents’ room & ask them for prayer. But 1
night I went to my parents’ room. My father was praying for me, like he
normally did, 'Help
him to think good thoughts.' All of a sudden his voice changed. He said,
“I command these suicidal thoughts to be quieted & never come back.” When
he did that something broke in me. I started to cry, because my father didn’t know that
(I had suicidal thoughts). I had never told anyone, but my Father in Heaven did.
When you hear your Father’s voice it quiets all the other voices around you. I believe that’s a key to learning the difference between where the thoughts
come from,
because Jesus said, “You’ll hear My voice & won’t follow the voice of a
stranger.”
BOB: I was doing
a conference & the auditorium was empty in between sessions. I happened to be
walking through, & heard this voice from a balcony. It seemed audible,
but it was 1 of those outside of me same voices,
“You’re worthless. You should kill yourself.” I stopped. I had this
funny moment because I realized how ridiculous this thought was. I pointed to the balcony.
If
anyone saw me
they’d think I was crazy. I said, “You’re not my thought. I know where
you came from & I’m not going to listen to that any more.”

evil spirit from God was upon (tormented) Saul, that David took a harp & played (music/hymns)
with his hand. Saul was refreshed & was well, for the evil spirit had departed
from him.

evil
(distressing) spirit from (Satan, but allowed
by) God came upon Saul; he prophesied in the midst of the

torments, & those who were demon-possessed, epileptics & paralytics;
He healed them.
Matthew 18:21-35 NIV - Peter came to Jesus & asked,
"Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother
(relative/close associate) when he sins against me?
Up to 7 times?" Jesus answered, "I tell you, not 7 times, but 77 times.
The kingdom of heaven (God) is like a king who wanted to
settle accounts with his servants (staff).
As he began the settlement, a man who owed him 10,000
talents was brought to him. Since he was not able to pay, the master
ordered that he, his wife, his children, & all that he had be sold to repay the
debt. The servant fell on his knees before him. 'Be patient with
me,' he begged.' I will pay back everything.' The servant's master took
pity on him, canceled the debt & let him go. But when that servant went
out, he found 1 of his fellow servants who owed him a 100 denarii. He
grabbed him & began to choke him. 'Pay back what you owe me!', he
demanded. His fellow servant fell to his knees & begged him, 'Be patient
with me and I will pay you back.' He refused. Instead, he went off &
had the man thrown into prison until he could pay the debt. When the other
servants saw what had happened, they were greatly distressed, went, & told their master everything that had happened. Then the
master called the servant in. 'You wicked servant,' he said. 'I
cancelled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. Shouldn't you
have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?' In anger his
master turned him over to the to the jailers to be tortured (tormented), until he should pay
back all he owed. This is how My heavenly Father (God)
will treat each of you unless your forgive your brother from your heart."
(Otherwise the evil spirits of anger/hatred/resentment/self-pity/bitterness will

(your brother & companion in the suffering, kingdom & patient endurance that are

John W White in Foreword reminds us that salvation alone does not
automatically permanently heal, deliver, nor prevent nightmares from
returning. As in all life issues, one needs to be proactive + do preventive work.
When it comes to nightmares, one needs to refuse, reject, repudiate them OUT
LOUD, in the name of Jesus Christ, even if they attack you in the middle of the
night, in the dark, in bed, alone. We alone do NOT have any power, but as
a born-again Christian positioned in Christ at the right hand of God, we do have

walking in unconfessed sin) takes authority over them in the name

power...It will give the child step-by-step instructions on how to destroy

even watched this spirit split itself into several different spirits, each of
which will attack other family members."
"The big face spirit will have them involved in gangs,

drugs. The pillardoc spirit will promise the child fame,

If your child obeys
these spirits, they will own your child...Those who are being tormented at
night are primarily dealing with these 3 spirits...Even black spots &
hoops that appear in the room and on the ceiling at night are an indication that

A parent is responsible for his child's spiritual welfare. He/she can
declare, "I might not see you (evil spirit/spirits), but my child says you are
here, so I know you are here. I know who & why you're here. The
blood of Jesus defeated you & every evil spirit at the cross. I am
going to anoint my child with oil &
pray. I am covering my child, room & home with the protection of the
blood of Jesus.
You cannot torment my child any longer. I command you, in the name
of Jesus, to leave this place & never return." (Be sure to lead your child
to a saving relationship with Jesus & baptism in the Holy Spirit. Teach him/her how to resist/evict the
enemy by their quoting Psalm 91, saying the name of Jesus,
applying the blood of Jesus, anointing their doors & windows with consecrated
oil, not watching adult movies/TV, not listening to adult music such as rock,
not watching non-Christian cartoons, not reading stories about fairies/witches/
wizards, not being involved in ANY activity which makes them uncomfortable, not
playing fantasy games, & not possessing/playing with
ugly/demonic looking toys. The same principles apply to adults who
can do self-deliverance.)
Chapter 14 Questions and Answers - In any new
residence/hotel/bedroom "immediately take authority over any spirits that might
have taken up residence. Speak blessings & the blood of Jesus over the
home, your possessions, & your family. Even in a newly
built
home...never allow demonic spirits to stay in your home & torment
you...
After my friend moved into the (newly purchased) house,
his children were tormented every night...As soon as I walked in
the house...the waster spirit even started to materialize...We took anointing
oil, prayed the Word of God over the house & commanded the evil

personality changes. If a child is full of joy & becomes fearful, if they start to withdraw,

Even with teenagers' wardrobe will start to change. For
girls, their makeup will change.

SID: Speaking of tormenting, tell me about that 9 year old girl.
BECCA: We prayed for a 9 year old. The pastor said, "She's really
struggling. Can you meet with her?" My husband & I began to pray for her. I knew
by word of knowledge (insight from the Holy Spirit) that she hadn't received
salvation. So we prayed for her. The reason why they brought her to us was because she was having repeated
nightmares...In this nightmare,
this snake would come & bite her in the stomach. From the time she had that
1st dream, she literally was living in chronic pain.
They had taken her to the doctor & run every medical test. They could not
find anything wrong with her, so they had prayed for her.
When they brought her to us the Lord told me she wasn't saved.
So we led her to the Lord (got her saved). After a few minutes she said,
"Miss Becca, I feel good." But then a few minutes later she said, "But
Miss Becca, this pain is back." So we knew at that moment this is a deliverance
issue, so we asked the Lord. The Lord showed me prophetically that there
were horror movies in the home.
I asked the mother, "Are you allowing her to watch horror movies?"
The mother said, "No."
I said, "But are there some in the home."
She said, "Yes. Her dad loves them, has a whole bookshelf full of horror
movies."
I explained to the mother, "It doesn't matter that she's not allowed to watch
them...
Having them in the home is a red carpet invitation to the demonic to harass
your child."
So we prayed & broke the power of witchcraft that was coming from
those horror movies. As soon as we did, this 9 year old little girl (we'll
call Sarah) looks up & grins, "Miss Becca, the pain is gone."
From that moment she has not had any further pain.
The dad was so elated to see his child free that when the mom went home,
he
literally got rid of all of those horror movies from their home.

One night, in utter desperation I cried out to the Lord, 'Father please, what
can I do?
I feel like my house is an open thoroughfare to any evil spirit that
wants to come through. You know how these spirits are tormenting us. I just
can’t stand it anymore'...
You shall take the anointing oil, & anoint the tabernacle & all that is in
it; & you shall hallow it & all its utensils, & it shall be holy.
Exodus 40:9 As I pondered these scriptures, the Lord showed me that I must
take oil & anoint my house & sanctify it holy unto Him. He also showed me that
the children of Israel had anointed the doorposts & lintel of their home
with the blood of the Passover lamb to keep the death angel from coming in. Now
the death angel was a spirit. It didn’t need a physical door to
enter a home. The door was an opening, & as such was symbolic. These
days, we have many openings into our homes. Doors, windows, air ducts,
fireplaces, stove vents, etc. After praying & thinking this all over, I
took oil I had on hand [cooking oil (blessed it)] and placed some on the
doorposts and the lintels of all the doors and on each window and the fireplace
& every opening into my house, except 1 door. I spoke out loud as I did this,
proclaiming that I was anointing my home in the name of God the Father, Jesus
Christ & Holy Spirit. I did not make any sort of symbol with the oil, I just put
a small dab in each place. Then I stood in my house & in the name of Jesus
commanded
every spirit to leave my house through the un-anointed door at once.
Then I anointed the last door & asked the Lord to sanctify & seal my home. The
change was immediate. Peace & quiet came over my home. The demons were
sealed out & not able to get back into my house. Since that time, I have always
kept my home anointed & sealed...
A 'doorpost' is the vertical piece that goes up & down on either side of the
door. A 'lintel' is the horizontal piece that goes across the top of the
door. Same with the windows. If you have a computer & are hooked up to
the internet, you need to anoint the cord that goes from your computer to the
phone jack & ask the Lord to seal it so that no demons can be sent into your home
through your computer...
Anoint your mirrors. There is nothing evil about a mirror, but people can
use them as doorways to astral-project through. It is also good to anoint the
cord that goes from your phones to the phone jack.
After you have done
this, leaving 1 door un-anointed, stand & speak out loud. Say the following:
Step
1: 'In
the name of Jesus I take authority over every curse coming against me, my
spouse, family, marriage, children, animals, home &
everything we have. I command you curses to be broken NOW in the name of Jesus.'
Step 2:
'In
the name of Jesus I take authority over every evil spirit in this house. I
command you spirits to get out of this door right now, & off of my property & not touch anything on your way, in the name of Jesus.'
Step 3: Anoint the last door &
pray & ask the Lord to cleanse & seal your home & shield all of you
completely from the evil spiritual realm...
As people come & go from your home, sometimes the seal gets broken & you
will need to re-cleanse your home. However, you don’t need to anoint everything,
just the doors that people have been through. If you are anointing your home on
a routine daily basis as I usually do, you can just do the doors. Later on, the
Lord showed me that I was to do the same thing with the ground
around my house. In order to do this I put oil into a plastic spray bottle. As I
walked around the edge of my property, I sprayed a line of oil on the ground. I
proclaimed that my property belonged to God & that I was asking Him to take
possession of, seal & protect it. Before closing the final space with the line of oil,
I broke every curse off of the land, & commanded all demons off of it in the
name of Jesus. Then I finished closing the line with the oil, praying & asking
God to seal the land from any demonic intrusion. This, too brings much peace &
protection.”

start putting the nightmares & flashbacks into your mind again at some
future date. If this happens, immediately go before God’s throne
& ask Him to discipline Satan for violating His command & put a halt to all such
activities. God is always faithful to do so. This provided the solution to the
terrible torment in Daniel’s life. It has also been a great help to me
during periods of great grief & loss."

I have a friend that actually had a dream. When he
went to bed he had actually had a torn Achilles, & that night he dreamed that he
was in a healing meeting, that somebody called out a word of knowledge & prayed
for him, & in the
dream he was healed. When he woke up the next day he was 100% whole.
JANE: I believe
that God gives warning dreams. That's where my whole journey with dreams
started, because I had a dream about my brother that he got very sick & died. In
my dream it seemed so real that I thought that it had actually happened. When I
woke up I laid there thinking, was that real or was that a dream. I
realized that it had been a dream. I began to comfort myself saying, oh, 'It
was only a dream'. I heard the voice of God say to me loudly, 'It
is NOT just a dream. Get up & pray.' I got up and I prayed for my
brother; eventually I felt a peace & went back to bed. The next morning my mother called me to say that my
brother the night before was on a deep woods camping trip when his appendix
ruptured. By the time they got him in
from the woods he actually almost died, but he was going to live. I believe
it's
because God woke me up to intercede for him.
JANE: I (as a
child) & my children had nightmares. A nightmare can be
God trying to get your attention, because not every dream is from God,
but neither is every nightmare from the devil, because God gave Abimelech a dream
in Genesis chapter 20 when he had taken Abraham's wife Sarah as he'd said, 'She's
my sister'. It says in that verse God came to him at night in a dream & said, 'Abimelech,
you're
a dead man' Okay. This is not a happy dream. Okay. This is probably a
night-mare.
JANE:
Sometimes God will give us a nightmare get our
attention, I believe, like He did with my brother. Okay. He gave me a nightmare
to get my attention so that I would pray. But when it's a demonic dream, I
believe that we can stand against the demonic force (plans/assignments).
We can believe that the blood of Jesus breaks the power of every demonic
thing...I'm going to pray right now that if you're being tormented by demonic
dreams, I just declare to you right now that the Lord Himself is rising up.
It declares in the scripture that He gives His beloved sweet sleep.
I break the power of every demonic assignment to torment you, to harass you & to afflict you at night in your dreams.
In Jesus' name I break the power of it and I decree sweet sleep.
JANE: If you
really even look at scripture you know that people even receive impartation at
night when they sleep in dreams. So it's such an important thing. Scientists
actually say that everybody dreams, it is just a matter of do we remember our
dreams. I like to train people how to capture their dreams...&
how to bring that forth
so that we're not just being hearers but actually doers of what God is speaking
to us.

“'At the time of your visit I was in therapy at least twice a week due to
post-traumatic stress disorder. I had been struggling with thoughts of suicide
and depression, as well as a number of physical issues that were unresolved. The
night before the service I woke up, yet again, at 3:15 a.m. & saw what I
believe to be a big black bird that I knew must have been an evil spirit.
The
next day God spoke this to me through you (Dennis Cramer).'

'You’ve also been tormented at night. A spirit comes into your bedroom
around 3:00 in the morning, 3:15 in the morning and it begins to attack you with
nightmares and health issues, pressure, stress & strain that lasts all day.
The last 9.5 months you’ve been saying,
'I’m under attack.' No
matter what you do you can’t get free.
But the Lord says, 'The
Breaker is here this morning. I am that Breaker,
Jesus, Jesus the
Messiah,
the Lord. I snapped the
neck of that spirit on assignment against you'. You will see a
return of your physical health. Now every organ & every system will work
as it was

Nightmares very often involve supernatural characters that attack or target the

animals, & the like. From a cognitive (mental/soul/brain/scientific) point of
view, 1 interesting aspect of the presence of the (spiritual) supernatural
being in a nightmare is that the dreamer cannot read the mind of the
supernatural being. All we can do is understand that the monster’s intentions
are malevolent." In nightmares "the self escapes unscathed only if it refuses to
look at or speak to or in any way engage the monster. When the self engages the
monster, all kinds of ill effects ensue, including, in ancestral cultures,
demonic or spirit possession (or evil spirit oppression).
There is a danger involved in the encounter with spirit beings; you may not
psychically survive the encounter. Instead, the malevolent spirit will take up
residence in your consciousness and (attempt to) control your actions. You
become possessed. (The Christian can be
oppressed, whereas the Gentile can be possessed.) It is an interesting
clinical fact that, even today, most cases of involuntary spirit possession
across the world occur overnight. The person wakes up possessed. Traditional
cultures have developed ways to identify the demon-possessed people. They are
usually self-destructive, they have chronic physical pains & physical distress,
they are irreverent toward the culture’s religious rituals, they are restless, & they have recurrent nightmares...
It is a terrifying experience if the possessing (or oppressing) spirit is
demonic.
[The Lord will not violate our wills.
We must give consent, permission for an evil spirit to dwell in us, to oppress
us, to possess us. Satan must have permission from both God and us (or our
blood relatives) giving him a legal right to harass us, at least on a temporary
basis. We can learn the doors we opened to the enemy. We can learn
the methods to refuse, reject, and permanently evict the enemy.
RELAPSE PREVENTION or How
to Keep Your Healing]
Nightmare frequency is high in childhood and in adolescence & young adulthood.
Young girls tend to experience nightmares more frequently than boys.
In adults, recurrent nightmares occur in people with so-called thin boundaries.
These are people who are especially sensitive to sensory impressions. Creative
people, like artists, writers, musicians, etc., also report more
nightmares than others. A different form of nightmare, heavily influenced by
memory, occurs frequently in people who have experienced trauma of one kind or
another.
In about 2% of the adult population, nightmares occur frequently. They do
not recur in the sense that the same scene is replayed night after night, but
they do recur insofar as the individual experiences frequent nightmares.
Post-traumatic nightmares, on the other hand, do recur with the same scene, with
minor variations, being replayed over and over again...
Various forms of cognitive restructuring of the imagery associated with a
nightmare can reduce the distress associated with nightmares. In cognitive
restructuring, you take a central image from the nightmare and literally redraw
it, on paper or in imagination, so that it is less threatening or frightening.
You can also do this with the use of stories. Take the nightmare story and
retell it, with less frightening themes & a less frightening outcome.
The traditional" explanation says that "our dreams and nightmares reflect
unconscious conflicts & fears. So, examining images & themes of dreams &
nightmares can tell us something important about our unconscious fears &
conflicts. I doubt that this is true.
Instead, nightmares appear to be about the strength of the ego, or the “I,” the
self. It is always the self that is under attack in a nightmare. On the surface
it appears that people who suffer frequent nightmares have more fragile egos
than the rest of us, but when you look deeper, these people very likely have the
strongest egos, or sense of self, on the planet. Nightmare images stay with us
for hours or days, haunting our awareness for days. But frequent nightmare
sufferers cope with this stuff on a regular basis. They handle the frightening
images on a daily basis. They are very strong individuals."
[REMEMBER, some bad dreams are
informative &/or warnings. Most bad dreams have NO spiritual relevance.
God's Holy Spirit is always the strongest spirit & will immediately come &
defend us when we call on Him. Likewise we can in the name of Jesus enlist
the help of our guardian angel & warrior angels to do warfare on our behalf.
We can anoint our loved ones with the anointing oil. We can anoint their
beds, windows, & doors. We can defend ourselves, too, by commanding evil
to depart, in the name of Jesus. We can cover ourselves spiritually with
the blood of Christ, when we go to bed. We can play holy music throughout
the night, to create a holy atmosphere which alienates evil.]

(If demons are haunting/terrorizing you in nightmares, command them to go, in
the name of Jesus. If Jesus is showing you evil which Satan is planning,
then you can DO something to prevent/avert that evil, in the name of Jesus.
In the name of Jesus, for beginners, you can refuse, reject, cancel/bind it.
You can cover the person or situation with the blood of Jesus. You can
enlist holy angels, in the name of Jesus. Jesus works best, & Satan the
least/worst, in an ATMOSPHERE of praise and thanksgiving, so immediately begin
to worship, regardless of how you feel/think.)

Commentary
NIGHT TALK - Sometimes God will talk with us via night thoughts that come to us when we are in bed asleep or half asleep. It is often easier for us to hear and comprehend Him when we are not distracted during the day. So ask Him questions often, EXPECTING Him to reply. Then accept/acknowledge His response & thank Him in the morning.
