Healing Offenses

Reversing Rejection

In the transformation of whole drug controlled communities,
God had to instruct the spiritual leaders
"NOT" to be offended
with each other, in order to implement His plan. - www.transformnations.com

COMMENTARY:  Sometimes we can be creative when it comes to rooting out those offenses that keep coming back into our thought life like weeds.  Those of us who like gardening  could perhaps create a cemetery garden outside or inside in a pot/planter.  We can forgive and then bury those hurts.  We can use rocks, seeds, or whatever will work for us.  Did any of you bury pets (or birds in a cigar/shoe box), have a funeral, make a cross, and commit them to God?  There are worry stones and worry dolls.  We can bury most anything.  When the offense comes to mind again, we can tell it (in the name of Jesus) to go back to the garden where it is buried and in God's hands (or under your and God's feet).  Remember, we too are buried with Christ.  That is, our old nature.  So too, we can reprimand our old nature to stop pestering us.  We can concentrate on our present and future work on earth, for time is short.  We do not have time to waste thinking about the past, especially the forgiven past.  God has forgotten, so let us do likewise...
Sometimes offenses get a grip on our thoughts, emotions, and/or body like a weight/pressure/oppression.  Quoting the Word of God to contradict those physical/human realities seems like a lie, because we are  experiencing just the opposite in our flesh.  It will take the Holy Spirit to exterminate the negative demonic stronghold and free us from the evil grip of Satan/ hurt/suffering.  It will take the Holy Spirit to transform His Word from being dead and invisible into being alive and experiential.  As we proclaim His Word that contradicts our negative circumstances, it will begin to reverse each offense.
Do NOT rely on the human experience.  Rather, rely on God to work His miracle in our hearts.  Take manure.  It stinks.
God uses it to fertilize and grow awesome vegetation.  Trust Him, not feelings.  Refuse to be offended.  Refuse to be hurt.  Refuse to allow another's actions to dictate how you think about or respond to another individual.  Rather, say to self, this offense does NOT exist in my eyes or the eyes of God.  Neither do I mention it to another, including my mate.  In the name of Jesus, I will NOT be offended.  In the name of Jesus, the offense does NOT exist.  In the name of Jesus, just the opposite is now true.  In the name of Jesus, so and so is pleasing in my sight and in the sight of God.  Amen.

Father Joseph K Bill (now deceased) used to have a 6 day retreat.  One of those days was dedicated to healing of memories.  He believed that the mind consists of conscious, sub-conscious, and unconscious (which include trauma to mother during her pregnancy, in addition to any genetic or inherited issues).  His masses included quoting the words of Christ, deliverance rites, and an exorcism rite.  Father contended that the brain is erased of all past, present and future generational curses/problems/hurts during this mass/ service.  Like a computer reformats the hard drive/disk,
God reformats the brain, erasing all offenses when we forgive. www.frbillretreat.com - Inner Healing Prayer Service - DVD @ www.frbill.net

This will help clue you in to whether or not you are offended.  Whenever one gets angry or hurt due to what another person COULD OF (have) done or SHOULD OF (have) done, then one is, in all likelihood, offended.

Offense
 Scripture

Psalm 19:12-13 - Who can understand his (own) errors?  Cleanse me from secret (unrecognized/unconfessed/offensive to God) faults.  Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me.  Then I shall be blameless. I shall be innocent of great transgression (and free from it's consequences).
Psalm 139:23-24 NIV    Search me, O God, and know my heart.  Test me and know my anxious thoughts.
See if there is any offensive way in me.  Lead me in the way everlasting.

1st Samuel 25:30-33 NJKV    "It shall come to pass, when the Lord has done for my lord according to all the good that He has spoken concerning you, and has appointed you ruler over Israel, that this will be no grief to you, nor offense of heart to my lord, either that you have shed blood without cause, or that my lord has avenged himself.  When the Lord has dealt with my lord, then remember your maidservant."  Then David said to Abigail, "Blessed is the Lord God of Israel, who sent you this day to meet me.  Blessed is your advice and  blessed are you, because you have kept me this day from coming to bloodshed and from avenging myself with my own hand."

Isaiah 8:11-14 NKJV
The Lord spoke thus to me (Isaiah) with a strong hand and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying, "Do not say, 'A conspiracy,' concerning all that this people call a conspiracy, nor be afraid of their threats, nor be  troubled.  The Lord of hosts, Him you shall hallow; let Him be your fear and let Him be your dread.  He will be as a sanctuary, but a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense to both the houses of Israel, as a trap and a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.  Many among them shall stumble, fall and be broken; be snared and taken."

Hosea 5:10-15 NKJV
"The princes of Judah are like those who remove a landmark; I will pour out My wrath on them like water.  Ephraim is oppressed and broken in judgment, because he willingly walked by human precept.  Therefore, I will be to Ephraim like a moth, and to the house of Judah like  rottenness.  When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah saw his  wound,  then Ephraim went to Assyria and sent to King Jared; yet he cannot cure you, nor heal you of your wound, for I will be like a lion to Ephraim, and like a young lion to Ephraim, and like a young lion to the house of Judah.  I, even I, will tear them and go away; I will take them away, and no one shall rescue.  I will return again to My place, till they acknowledge their offense.  Then they will see My face; in their affliction they will earnestly seek Me."

Habakkuk 1:11 NKJV - "His mind changes and he transgresses; he commits offense, ascribing this power to his god."

john/20-23.htm - Jesus Appears to the Disciples -
22
When He had said this, He breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.
23
If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; (+ invite God's blessings/healing)
if you withhold forgiveness from anyone, it is withheld.”
(Rabbis, kings, Job, Stephen & Jesus remitted congregation/family/national/individual sin both confessed & unconfessed.)

1_corinthians/13-5.htm - 4.Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered,
it keeps no account of wrongs
(NO record/repetition/rehearsal of wrongs)

Colossians+3%3A1-3&version=NIV  3:1-3 - Since, then, (after dying with Christ, now) you have been raised (resurrected) with Christ, set your hearts (thoughts) on things above, where (you with) Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your (soul consisting of) mind (+ willpower + emotions) on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God, (because dead people can NOT be offended/hurt/ take bad things personally.  Christ is our head.  We, the church, are His body here on earth).

Offense against the Lord God Scripture

nahum/1-9.htm - The Burden of Nineveh
8With an overflowing flood He (God) will make a complete end of its site, and will pursue His enemies into darkness. 9Whatever you devise against the LORD, He will make a complete end of it. Distress  will not rise up twice.
10
Like tangled thorns, and those who are drunken with their drink, they are consumed as stubble, completely withered.
New American Standard Bible - Matthew Henry Commentary - Nahum 1:9-15 There is a great deal plotted against the Lord by the gates of hell, and against his kingdom in the world; but it will prove in vain. With some sinners God makes quick dispatch; and one way or other, He will make an utter end of all his enemies. Though they are quiet, and many very secure, and not in fear, they shall be cut down as grass and corn, when the destroying angel passes through.  God would hereby work great deliverance for His own people. But those (unrepentant) who make themselves vile by scandalous sins, God will make vile by shameful punishments. The tidings of this great deliverance shall be welcomed with abundant joy.

Offense New Testament Scripture

Matthew 16:23 NKJV - He (Jesus) turned and said to Peter, "Get behind Me, Satan.  You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men."
Matthew 18:3-35 NKJV -
3(Jesus) said, "Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.
4Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
5Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me.
6Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drown in the depth of the sea.
7Woe to the world because of offensesOffenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes.
8If your hand or foot causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you.  It is better for you to enter into (eternal) life lame or maimed, rather than have 2 hands or 2 feet, and/to be cast into the everlasting fire.
9If your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you.  It is better for you to enter into (eternal) life with 1 eye, rather than have 2 eyes, and/to be cast into hell fire.
10Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angles always see the face of My Father Who is in heaven
11For the Son of Man has come to save him/her who was lost.
12What do you think?  If a man has a 100 sheep, and 1 of them goes astray, does he not leave the 99
and go to the mountains to seek the 1 who is straying?

13If he  should find it, assuredly, I say to you, he rejoices more over that sheep than over the 99 who did not go astray.
14Even so, it is not the will of your Father Who is in heaven that 1 of these little ones should perish.
15Moreover, if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault
between you and him alone.  If he hears you, you have gained your brother.
16If he will not hear, take with you 1 or 2 more, that by the mouth of 2 or 3 witnesses every word may be established.
17If he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church.
If he refuses even to hear the church,  let him be to you like a heathen and a tax collector.
18Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
19Again I say to you that if 2 of you agree on earth  concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven, for where 2 or 3 are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them."
21Then Peter came to Him and said, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him; up to 7 times?"
22Jesus said to him, "I do say to you, up to 7 times, but up to 70 x 7.
23The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants.
24When he had  begin to settle accounts, one was brought to him who owed him 10,000 talents.
25As he was not able to pay, his master commanded that he be sold, with his wife and children, and all that he had, and/so that payment (could) be made.  26The servant therefore fell down before him, saying, 'Master, have patience with me,
and I will pay you all.'
27Then the master of that servant was moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt.  28But that servant went out and found one of his fellow servants who owed him a 100 denarii; he laid hands on him and took him by the throat, saying, 'Pay me what you owe!'  29So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged hi, saying, 'Have patience with me, and I will pay you all.'  30He would not, but went and threw him into prison till he should pay the debt.  31So when his fellow servants saw what had been done, they were very grieved and came and told their master all that had been done.  32Then his master, after he had called him, said to him, 'You wicked servant!  I forgave you all that debt because you begged me.  33Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you?'  34His master was angry and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him.
35So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, do not forgive his brother his trespasses." (Spiritual insight: If God Himself does not administer justice via His angels/agents, then He will allow Satan/hell/disease/death/curses/etc. to accomplish that justice.)

Luke 23:34 KJVer
 - Said Jesus, "Father, forgive them (for this offense), for they know not what they do."
Luke 23:46 KJVer - When Jesus had cried with a loud voice, He said, "Father, into Your hands I commend My spirit."  Having said thus, He gave up the ghost.

Acts 7:59-60 KJVer - 59They stoned Stephen, (who was) calling upon God and saying, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit." 60He kneeled down and cried out with a loud voice, "Lord, lay not this sin (offense) to their charge."
When he had said this, he fell asleep (His spirit went to be with Christ).
Acts 24:14-16 NKJV -
"According to the Way, which they call a sect, so I worship the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the (Old Testament/Torah) Law and in the Prophets.  I (Paul) have hope in God, which they themselves also accept, that there will be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust.  This being so,
I myself always strive to have a conscience without offense toward God and men."

Romans 5:15-21 NKJV -
15(The free gift is not like the offense.  For if by one man's offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many.  16The gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned; for judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free  gift which came from (forgave) many offenses resulted in justification (being declared innocent/not  guilty).  17If by one man's offense death reigned through the one, (then how) much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)  18Therefore, as through one man's offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man's righteousness act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life.  19By one man's disobedience many were made sinners; so also, by one Man's obedience many were made righteous.  20Moreover, the law entered that the offense might abound, but where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, 21so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 9:33 NKJV -
It is written (in Isaiah 8:14 and Isaiah 28:16), "Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and rock of offense, and whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame."

Offense Regarding Food
Romans 14:19-20 NKJV
Let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another.  Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food.
All things indeed are pure, but it is evil for the man who eats with offense (shame/guilty conscience).

1st Corinthians 10:23-32 NKJV -
23
All things are lawful for me, but not all things are helpful; all things are lawful for me, but not all things edify.
24
Let no one seek his own, but each one the other's well-being.
25
Eat whatever is sold in the meat market, asking no questions for conscience' sake;
26
for "the earth is the Lord's and all its fullness" (Psalm 24:1).
27
If any of those who do not believe invites you to dinner, and you desire to go, eat whatever is set before you, asking no question for (their) conscience' sake.
28But if anyone says to you, "This was offered to idols," do not eat it for the sake of the one who told you and for (their) conscience' sake; for "the earth is the Lord's, and all its fullness".
29
"Conscience," I say, not your own, but that of the other.  For why is (should be) my liberty (freedom/belief in Christ) judged (to be evil/sin/offense) by another man's conscience (unbelief/doctrinal difference of opinion/degree of trust in God)?
30
But if I partake with thanks, why am I spoken of (as being) evil for the food over which I give thanks?
31
Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
32Give no offense
, either to the Jews, Greeks, or to the church (congregation) of God,
33
just as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.
(Spiritual insight: Perhaps this principle can apply to other areas such as medications and vitamins, which some consider good, some consider evil, and some consider unnecessary if one has sufficient faith in the healing/deliverance power of Jesus.)

2nd Corinthians 6:3 NKJV
 - We give no offense in anything, that our ministry may not be blamed.
2nd Corinthians 11:7 NKJV -
Did I commit sin (offend you) in humbling myself, that you might be exalted?
2 Corinthians
%202:15-16 -
1We are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and (but not to) those who are perishing. 16 To the one we are an aroma that brings death; to the other, an aroma that brings life.
(This is another hint why others especially relatives &/or staff are sometimes allergic to us, until such time that they come into alignment with the Trinity.)

Stone/Rock/Cross of Offense

Galatians 5:4,11,18 NKJV - You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt
to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace...Brethren, if I still preach circumcision, why do I still suffer persecution?  Then the offense of the cross has ceased...If you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
Philippians 1:9-10 NKJV
- This I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere without offense till the day of Christ('s return).
1st Peter 2:7-8 NKJV
- To you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient, "The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone, a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense. (Isaiah 8:14)"

Montgomery, Mel C - Let's Quit Dropping the "O" Bomb - Being Offended by Christ - "Blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in Me."- Mat. 11:2-6  KJ - "The Lord was saying (here and elsewhere), 'Don't take offense at Me when I don't move in the exact manner that you believe I should.'  In the Parable of the Sower, the Lord was instructing us that when affliction or persecution (difficult times or vicious untrue criticism) comes, not to lose our faith, by becoming offended at Him, when He does not move in the manner or timing that we think He should.  He (scripture) was not speaking about avoiding taking offense at men."

Offences Scripture

Tehillim (Psalms) 32:5 Stern - When I acknowledged my sin to You, when I stopped concealing my guilt, and said,
"I will confess my offenses to Adonai"; then You, You forgave the guilt of my sin.

Ecclesiastes 10:4 NKJV -
If the spirit of the ruler rises against you, do not leave your post; for conciliation pacifies great offenses.

Luke 17:1-4 NKJV
He (Jesus) said to the disciples, "It is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe to him through whom they do come!  It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea, than he should offend one of these little ones.  Take heed to yourselves.  If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; if he repents, forgive him.  If he sins against you 7 times in a day and 7 times in a day returns to you, saying, 'I repent,' you shall forgive him."

Romans 4:13-25 NKJV
 - 13The promise that he would be the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed - through the law (Torah), but through the righteousness of faith (in God and His son Jesus the Messiah).  14If those who are of the law are heirs, faith is made void and the promise made of no effect, 15because the law brings about wrath; for where there is no law, there is no  transgression.  16Therefore, it is of faith, that it might be according to  grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the (spiritual) father of us all.  17(as it is written, "I have made you a father of many nations." Genesis 17:5)  in the presence of Him whom he believed - God, Who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did; 18who, contrary to hope, in hope,  believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken (aloud/prophesied/predicted), "So shall your descendants be." Genesis 15:5
19
Not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about 100 years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb.  20He did not waver through unbelief, at the promise of God, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God,  21being full convinced that what He had promised,  He was able to perform22Therefore "it was accounted to him for righteousness." Genesis 15:6  23Now it was not written for his sake alone that it was imputed to him, 24but also for us.  It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him Who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead,
25
Who was delivered up because of our offenses and was raised because of our justification.
Romans 16:17 NKJV
 - I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned and avoid them.

Offend Scripture

Stumbling Block + False Counsel

Job 34:1,31 NKJV - Elihu further answered and said (to Job), "Has anyone said to God, 'I have borne chastening;
I will offend no more.  Teach me what I do not see; if I have done iniquity, I will do no more.'?"
(Spiritual insight: Although good advise, it was inappropriate for Job, thus wrong, ungodly, not from the Holy Spirit.)
Psalm 73:15 NKJV
 - If I had said, "I will speak thus;" behold, I would have been untrue (an offense) to the generation of Your children.
Psalm 119:165 NKJV
 - Great peace have those who love Your law, and nothing (no offense) causes them to stumble.

Jeremiah 2:1-3 NKJV
 - The word of the Lord came to me (Jeremiah) saying,

"2Go and cry in the hearing of Jerusalem, saying, 'Thus says the Lord.  I remember you,
the kindness of your youth, the love of your betrothal, when you went after Me in the wilderness, in a land now sown.
3Israel was holiness to the Lord, the first fruits of His increase.  All that devour him will offend; disaster will come upon them," says the Lord."

Matthew 5:22-30 NKJV
 - 22"I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment.  Whoever says to his brother, 'Raca!' shall be in danger of hell fire.
23Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you,
24
leave your gift there before the altar and go your way.  First be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift.
25Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary deliver you to the judge, the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison.
26
Assuredly, I say to you, you will by no means get out of there till you have paid the last penny.
27
You have heard that it was said to those of old, "You shall not commit adultery."
28
But I say to you, that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
29
If your right eye (offend you/another/God) causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.
30
If your right hand caused you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.
Matthew 13:41 KJVer - The Son of Man shall send forth His angels.  They shall gather out of His kingdom all things that offend and those who do iniquity.
Matthew 17:27 KJVer
 - Lest we should offend them, go to the sea, cast a hook, and take up the fish that first comes up.  When you have opened its mouth, you shall find a piece of money.  Take that and give it to them for Me and you.
Matthew 18:6 KJVer
 - Whoso shall offend one of these little ones who believe in Me, it were (would be) better for him, that a millstone were hung about his neck, and that he were drown in the dept of the sea.

Mark 9:42-48 KJVer
 -
42"Whosoever shall offend one of these little ones who believe in Me, it is better for him that a millstone were hung about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.
43
If your hand offend you, cut it off; it is better for you to enter into life maimed, than to have 2 hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched,
44
where their worm dies not and the fire is not quenched.
45If your foot offend you, cut it off; it is better for you to enter halt (lame/crippled) into life, than to have 2 feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched, 46where their worm dies not and the fire is not quenched.
47If your eye offend you, pluck it out.  It is better for it is better for you to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than to have 2 eyes to be cast into hell fire,
48
where their worm dies not, and the fire is not quenched."

Luke 17:2-4 NKJV
 - 2"It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. 3Take heed.  If your your brother sins against you, rebuke him.  If he repents, forgive him.  4If he sins against you 7 times in a day and 7 times in a day returns to you saying,
'I repent,' you shall forgive him
."
                                                                                Communion Scripture

John 6:53-61 NKJV
53Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you.
54
Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life. I will raise him up on the last day.
55
For My flesh is food indeed and My blood is drink indeed.
56
He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me and I in him.
57
The living Father sent Me and I live because of the Father; so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me.
58
This is the Bread which came down from heaven - not (the same bread) manna as your fathers ate and are dead.
He who eats this (spiritual) Bread will live forever.
"
59These things He said in the synagogue as He taught in Capernaum.
60Therefore many of His disciples, when they heard this, said, "This is a hard saying; "Who can understand it?"
61When Jesus knew in Himself (perceived/understood) that His disciples complained about this, He said to them,
"Does this offend you?"

James 2:10 KJVer -
Whosoever shall keep the whole law, yet offend (stumble) in one point, is guilty of all.
James 3:2,10 KJVer -
In many things we offend all.  If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man and able also to bridle the whole body.  Out of the same mouth proceeds blessings and cursing.  My brethren, these things ought not to be so.

Offended Scripture

Proverbs 18:19 NLT - It's harder to make amends with an offended friend than to capture a fortified city.
Arguments separate friends like a gate locked with iron bars.

Jeremiah 50:6-7 NKJV    "My people have been lost sheep.  Their shepherds have led them astray; they have turned them away on the mountains.  They have gone from mountain to hill; they have forgotten their resting place.  7All who found them have devoured them; their adversaries said, 'We have not offended, because they have sinned against the Lord, the habitation of justice, the Lord, the hope of their fathers.'"

Hosea 4:14-15 NKJV    "I will not punish your daughters when they commit harlotry, nor your brides when they commit adultery; for the men themselves go apart with harlots and offer sacrifices with a ritual harlot.  Therefore people who do not understand will be trampled.  Though you, Israel, play the harlot, let not Judah be offended."

Mark 6:1-6 TNAB  1He departed from there and returned to His own part (Nazareth) of the country (Israel) followed by His disciples.
2When the Sabbath came He began to teach in the synagogue in a way that kept His large audience amazed.
They said, "Where did He get all this?  What kind of wisdom is He endowed with?
How is it that such miraculous deeds are accomplished by His hands?
3Is this not the carpenter, the son of Mary (and) a brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon?
Are not His sisters our neighbors here?"  They (were offended) found Him too much for them.
4Jesus' response to all this was, "No prophet is without honor, except in his native place, among his own kindred, and in his own house."
5He could work NO miracle there, apart from curing a few who were sick, by laying hands on them. 6So much did their lack of faith distress Him (that) He made the rounds of the neighboring villages instead, and spent His time teaching.

Acts 25:11

Offensive Scripture

Psalm 139:23-24 NIV - Search me, O God, and know my heart.  Test me and know my anxious thoughts.
See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

What does God require of us who are offended?

Job 42:7-8 NKJV - The Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite, "My wrath is aroused against you and your 2 friends, for you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has.  Now therefore, take for yourselves 7 bulls, 7 rams, go to My servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering.  My servant Job shall pray for you (the offender), for I will accept him (Job), lest I deal with you according to your folly."

Psalm 35:13 NKJV    As for me, when they (the offenders) were sick, my clothing was sackcloth.
I humbled myself with fasting.  My prayer would return to my own heart.
I paced about as though he were my friend or brother.  I bowed down heavily, as one who mourns for his mother.

Ezekiel 33:16 NIV    None of the sins he has committed will be remembered against him.

Bevere, John - The Bait of Satan is offense - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xx2_bKiZu40 - www.johnbevere.org Being offended is a choice.  If we choose it, Satan wins and we lose.  2nd, it is God's job to expose wrongs of our superiors, not necessarily our job.  It is God's job to defend us, not necessarily our job.  We are only accountable for those under us, such as our unmarried children or staff.  Bevere also discourages one from frequent church hopping, especially out of offense.
A must reading for those in relationships, especially those in ministry to others...
Rule of thumb is NEVER to offend (or protect ourselves from offense, excepting physical violence/harm/injury to self).
Never offend, unless/except it is in obedience to doing God's will; disobeying God is an offense to God.
Chapter 11 Forgiveness You Don't Give - You Don't Get shares an unnamed testimony of a Pilipino pastor who had a near death experience, where he saw his born-again mother-in-law in hell.  The Lord explained to him that the mother-in-law had refused to forgive a relative, and thus she herself could not be forgiven.

Matthew 7:21-23 NIV -
"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven.  Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, in Your name drive out demons, and perform many miracles?'
Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you.  Away from Me, you evildoers.'
"
In another instance, the Lord instructed a woman to forgive her dead husband.
Forgiveness consists 4 main steps -
(1) Asking God to forgive us for not forgiving,
(2) Releasing the individual from our judgment/heart/expectation/condemnation, thereby absolving the other of any guilt.  (Jesus on the cross prayed, "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do."  Stephen while being stoned to death prayed, Father, do not hold this charge against them.")  Other steps include a
(3) commitment to continually pray for God to bless that individual those same prayers we pray for ourselves plus a
(4) commitment to foster reconciliation solely to benefit the other (with zero self serving motives).
(Spiritual insight/reminder = Our enemy is not an individual, but rather Satan.)

Bevere, John - Honor - Rewards - www.johnbevere.org - It is imperative that God get the entire honor and the entire glory.  Even one crumb of pride can prevent God from using us.  A crumb triggers the making of a pearl in a clam.  The pearl is NOT a jewel; rather it is God's way of covering up dirt/irritation, the way His blood covers over our sin when we repent.  John's book shows us how we can honor each other.  What we do to the least of them, we do unto Him, according to scripture.
We need to learn another's love language, so that we can honor another, the way he/she can receive it.

Branham, William - http://endtimemessage.info/SupernaturalBook-6.pdf - Chapter 85 - The Day His Rifle Exploded 1962 "Jesus said, 'Blessed is he who is not offended in Me.'48 But many people were offended when they heard the difficult things He taught. For example, Jesus said, 'Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you.' After hearing this, the crowds thinned drastically until even 70 of His closest followers left Him. Jesus turned to His 12 disciples and asked, 'Do you also want to go away?” But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.' 49 After that day, Jesus never again enjoyed widespread popularity in Israel. A critic might argue that Jesus had lost his power. Even Jesus, while the Romans were crucifying him, cried out: 'My God, my God, why have you forsaken Me?'50 That was the lowest point of His life, His darkest hour, just before He said in victory, 'It is finished,' and God crowned His ministry with the glory of a resurrection.51...I‘m not washed up; I‘m just washed in the King."
.Branham, William - http://endtimemessage.info/SupernaturalBook-6.pdf - Chapter 86 Vision of Angels - Oct-Dec 1962 -
"Bill pulled a chair away from the table, sat down and lectured his son on why he should behave and obey his mother.
'I‘m sorry, daddy,' Joseph said, putting his arms around his father‘s neck and giving him a hug. 'Please don‘t spank me.' 'Oh, well, all right, Joe. I‘ll let it go this time, but don‘t do that again.' 'I won‘t, daddy. I promise.' Bill went to find Meda, so he could tell her Joseph had apologized. She had locked herself in their bedroom. Bill knocked on the door. She opened it and asked, 'Did you spank him?' When he told her why he had not, she snapped, 'He tells me that too; then he goes right back and does the same thing again. It‘s so frustrating.' 'Honey, since he repented like that, I couldn‘t spank him.'
'That‘s because you don‘t have to deal with him every day like I do! You‘re always gone!' She slammed the door in his face and locked it. 'I don‘t think she really meant that,' he thought, knowing what a gentle woman she was normally.
During the 20 years they had been married, Meda had never spoken an angry word to him before. Lately, she had seemed nervous. Since she was now 43, Bill wondered if her nervousness was due to hormonal changes from menopause.
Carrying his bucket outside, he filled it with soapy water and scrubbed the splattered bugs off of the front of his station wagon. While he was washing the hood, he heard someone say, 'Tell Meda to read Numbers chapter 12.' He looked around. There was nobody in the yard except him. Thinking he must have imagined it, he returned to his task. Again he heard someone say, 'Tell her to read Numbers 12.' He paused, and then resumed washing the hood, but now his mind was alert to everything around him. A 3rd time he heard that voice repeat its command. It seemed to come out of the air, somewhere near a tree by his house. Leaving his washrag on the hood of his car, he went inside his house, picked up his Bible and read Numbers chapter 12. It told what happened to Miriam when she criticized Moses for marrying an Ethiopian woman. Her criticism of Moses so angered the Lord that He allowed Satan to inflict Miriam with leprosy. When Moses prayed for his sister, after 7 days the Lord healed her. Taking his Bible, Bill walked down the hall to his bedroom door. He could hear the whir of her sewing machine running. When he tried the doorknob, it was still locked. He knocked and called her name. 'What do you want?' she asked stiffly. 'Sweetheart, let me in. I have a Word from the Lord for you.'  He heard the door unlock. When he entered the room, she was sitting behind her sewing machine, adjusted the fabric under the needle. 'Meda, you know I love you; but God didn‘t like what you said to me. While I was washing the car, He told me to have you read Numbers chapter 12.' He handed her his Bible, and she read the chapter out loud. The strong language scared her. In fact it scared them both. She apologized profusely, and together they knelt and asked God to be merciful."

Kelley, Earthquake - Order book #1122 "Bound to Lose, Destined to Win" - http://earthquakekelleyministries.org/books/ - Chapter 7
This is Paradise
(edited) God spoke to Earthquake about grudges, blaming, and unforgiveness, "Some have set themselves up in ministry that was not of Me...Go back and tell My church that people are holding grudges against Me because I have not given them the things they wanted. Some have cursed Me in their hearts because I did not answer them as quickly as they wanted.  Some have yelled to Me while on their knees, 'Why did You let my mother leave me...die?  You let me down.  Others have cursed My name and vowed never to pray (talk) to Me again."  "Some blame Me because they lost their jobs.  They are saying to Me, 'You don't care'...Some give Me a deadline...I am being blamed because people are not married...because they were molested as a child...raped...They say to Me, 'Where were You when I needed You?  I hate You."  Until they repent, they cannot be blessed.  Nobody can receive from Me as long as they are holding things against Me.  They cannot receive from Me and hate Me in their hearts...Many people in the church have held grudges against others for years.  Tell them that I will not bless them until they (with an act of their will rather than feelings) repent and forgive those who wronged themMany sicknesses in the church are not related to anything in the demonic realm (but rather rooted in) bitterness and unforgiveness.  Tell them to forgive each other and to repent for holding grudges.  Until they forgive others, I cannot forgive them.  They will not be healed of their infirmities until they forgive.  People are seeking My hand and not My face...Tell them that unless they repent, sickness and disease will not leave their bodies.  Once cursed by Me, no prayer will help them, because their sins (of bitterness and unforgiveness) have placed them under this curse.   Unless they repent, they will die with their sicknesses...Some who thought they were saved when they died are not with Me.  They are lost in the torments of hell, because they did not repent of their hidden sins."  (Also remember to forgive yourself, once You have asked for God to forgive you!)
Chapter 14  Questions & Answers - "Offense causes us to hold a grudge, which makes us angry and bitter.  Anger and bitterness lead to unforgiveness, which causes us to hold on to the belief that we have a right to feel the way we do because of how we were treated.  We might spend our lives wanting to make the person pay for what they did to us...
Our health will be destroyed as we develop a multitude of physical and mental disorders...Anything less than complete forgiveness is an open door to the enemy...See them (offenders) as people who have allowed  the enemy too much control in their lives, just as you are (now) doing when you live with bitterness and unforgiveness (which)...could keep us out of heaven."  When we say, "I'm not going to forgive because I have a right to feel this way after what this person did to me," then you are committing rebellion which God calls the sin of witchcraft which will keep you out of heaven.  In the final analysis, you have offended God and sabotaged your own eternal life, unless you immediately repent!  Ouch!
Matthew 5:22-25 KJV -
But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca (empty headed), shall be in danger of the council: but who-soever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.  23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the (communion) altar, and there remember that thy brother hath ought against thee; 24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; 1st be reconciled to thy brother, and then come (return) and offer thy gift.  25 Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison (spiritual cage/captivity/torment can result in physical &/or emotional/mental afflictions).

Kostelnik, Joseph - 1/2009 - https://www.armorcenterministries.com/uploads/2/4/8/6/24865330/prayer_in_the_spirit_2.pdf - (edited)
Shortly before preparing this chapter, I had a very unusual dream. In it, I was addressing a congregation about spiritual matters. As I looked closely at the various members, I realized they were all hooked up to medical apparatus related to kidney or bladder problems. That is, the flow of water from their persons was being inhibited.  My text was to be from the Book of James but as I scanned my Bible I could not find that book.  I somehow knew the information I needed to share was contained within that Bible portion. A few days after the dream I found a reference in the 5th chapter of the Book of James: 'Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door" (James 5:9).
The amazing fact about this verse is the word rendered grudging in the KJV is a form of the same word the apostle Paul uses in Rom. 8:26-27. James says, "Stop grudging (groaning) against one another, brethren" (author's translation). Other versions have it: "Do not make complaints against each other" (Montgomery); "Don't blame your troubles on one another, fellow Christians" (Beck) - In terms of my dream, Holy Spirit was simply pointing out that most believers are not releasing their inner emotional and spiritual turmoil properly-by means of praying in (tongues) the Holy Spirit-but, rather, complaining to and against each other.  "Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief for that is unprofitable for you" (Heb. 13:17). The word, grief, in the KJV is actually this Greek word, groaning...an inarticulate sigh...complaining."

Art Mathias www.akwellspring.com teaches about the destructive power of self-bitterness, which I would name self-condemnation. Following are some quotations from his manual Biblical Foundations of Freedom: "Satan uses self-bitterness against us. Self-bitterness produces an inability to forgive ourselves. Our ministry experience is that many people cannot say, 'I forgive myself.'  Un-forgiveness of ourselves leads to self-resentment. It says, 'I can never do anything right. Daddy was right. I'll never amount to anything.' Self-resentment leads to self-hatred, self-anger, and self-violence. Our ministry has served many that have cut or maimed themselves out of extreme shame or guilt.  'The ultimate expression of self-violence is, of course, suicide. It is characteristic of people who have reached this point to constantly entertain thoughts like, 'Nobody would care if I died. In fact, the world would be better off.  The only way I can make Jane happy is to kill myself.' These are sick, irrational, thoughts. To defeat self-murder, we have to break the bond of the unloving spirit and eliminate self-bitterness."9

Shu Zen Duan, Irene - Our God is Real - Testimonies from My Life - Chinese Family tales
IV Passing on and Teaching God's Words to Next Generation   Judges 2:10-15 - After that whole generation had been gathered to their fathers (passed away/died), another generation grew up who knew neither the Lord nor what He had done for Israel.  Then the Israelites did evil in the eyes of the Lord.  They forsook the Lord, the God of their fathers...and they were in great distress.  "I think, not taking the responsibility of passing God's words to your children (, mates, family & friends) will be a sin of omission" (rather than the sin of commission, which is the typical sin of offense).
Many individuals are easily offended by our NOT fulfilling their expectations (perceived rather than spoken or real).  A parent might expect appreciation or a thank you and not receive it.  A person might expect a thank you note for a gift given and not receive it.  Just remind yourself each time that you do not receive gratitude, that our Lord is DAILY waiting for His thank you from us.  This reminder may help remove the hurt and help put into our hearts appreciation towards our Heavenly Father.

Generally (generationally) speaking, someone with a (personal/family/ministry) stronghold (remaining) in a certain area of his or her life will suffer from poor discernment in that area."  "Both God and Satan want to accomplish their objectives through rejectionHow we respond to rejection determines whose purposes are accomplished...Anger has caused many to miss their ultimate calling...Rejection comes so that we might learn what is truly important... Feeling rejected is a wonderful indicator that we have allowed our allegiance to be shifted from God to men. We can quickly repent and even be thankful for the rejection...In looking for acceptance outside of God, turn back to Him."

Walker, Dennis - Catching the Initiatives of Heaven - www.dunamisarc.org - Chapter 5 Hindrances to Spiritual Senses - section 9 Deadly Embraces - "The Lord spoke to me in dream...about 9 deadly embraces as a strategy of the devil to lead people into (emotional, physical and spiritual) bondage...In the dream I saw a man being freed...The Lord told me, 'He is reemerging from the 9 embraces'...The Lord had me write the (progressive) list:"
"(1st) Embrace of an offense...[The (evil) spirit comes on the heels of...an offensive event.  The Bible says that offenses will come, but it is up to each one of us to either embrace the offense or release it immediately to God.  If one embraces the (evil) spirit of offense, they have opened a door for other (evil spirit) embraces to follow.
This is a strategy of the enemy to bring people into bondage (captivity/character defects).]
(2nd) embracing a lying spirit of reinterpretation [exaggerates events & explains things (and motives) in a negative way]...
(3rd) embracing a spirit of accusation and judgment...
(4th) embracing a spirit of bitterness [You can tell you are in bitterness when you relive the same event (&/or emotions) over and over in your mind...Then begin to spread it to others...Now these tormentors (demons) have a (legal) right to lock you up and torment you...until such a time as you forgive.]...[The 1st 4 points you choose to embrace.
The following 5 points embrace you, whether you want the to or not.]
(5th) embraced by a spirit of deception...[You become confused about who god is, who you are and about all truth...
If you know the truth (Yeshua) you will come to freedom...The spirit of deception...keeps you locked up.]
(6th) embraced by a spirit of (unexplainable/uncontrollable) fear & depression...
[A person wants to hide...Fears come out of nowhere...A spirit...takes over as further torment.]
(7th) embraced by a spirit of compulsions, obsessions and addictions...
(8th)embraced by a spirit of control...[It can manifest through flattery...tears...shouting...subtle manipulation...passive...or...aggressive control.]
(9th) embraced by a suppressing (demonic) spirit [(who often overcomes/submerges/overtakes/overrides) one's identity...
The words and actions are no longer theirs but are caused by a spirit.]
Now the Good News - "Someone who is stuck in any of those stages...is to take (go) back to the original offense and deal with that...Release...the offending people and events (and then) all the house of cards that the enemy has erected falls to the ground.
Allow Holy Spirit to show where (the initial) offense came in...Release (give) it (and) all (judgment) to the Lord.
Forgive him/her/them and repent for unforgiveness, in order to receive your own) freedom (from captivity/problems)."
PRAYER: "Lord, I am not the judge; You are the only true and righteous judge...
I give (release to) You all these people...events and all these emotions
."
After the prayer of forgiveness, in Jesus' name, "command all attached (evil) spirits to leave.  Then pray (in Jesus' name) that the Father's love fill the void."  (NEVER take back what you have released to the Lord!)  "Continue to give up to the Lord all those (recurring/repeat) thoughts and emotions related to those past events.  The devil will try to get you to embrace offense again."  (RESIST in Jesus' name and the devil must flee.
Replace negative thoughts with holy/good thoughts (especially scripture) &/or replace with deeds (such as telling others about Jesus).

Walters, Kathie - Living in the Supernatural - www.www.goodnews.netministries.org - Chapter 8 The Judgments of the Lord Are True  "God had been unable to use me because I judged the man in my own heart...My heart was not righteous or full of compassion.  But Arthur Burt did not make that kind of judgment; he waited until the Spirit of the Lord spoke."
"If you have judged anyone according to your own judgment, repent and ask the Lord to reveal His heart for that ministry or person, before you try to fellowship with the Holy Spirit.  If you have been judged with a false standard by another person or by a church, first forgive them, and break the spirit of false judgment and (the spirit of) false standards over you.  Even God's standards, if given in a legalistic spirit, do not manifest the heart of God, because they do not contain His grace.
When you receive a word from the Lord for someone, and it contains correction or rebuke, be sure that your own emotions and biases are not involved.  Wait on the Lord.  Jesus never reacted; rather He always acted under the direction of the Holy Spirit.  If you react, your emotions will distort the word of the Lord, even though what you say may contain some truth.  A correction will become accusation.  If someone has judged you wrongly, and you want to set him straight, wait on the Lord.  He will tell you  whether to keep silent or to speak."  Check out e-books.   http://www.goodnews.netministries.org/store/ebooks.html

Soon the power of God grew cold in his life...Says John. “I cried out to God and I forgave,” says John. “But why was I still being tormented?” Acts 24:16 Herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offense toward God, and toward men. John felt the Lord insist that he go to the man who offended him.  John asked for forgiveness for being critical and judgmental of him (the offender).  The man softened and after their meeting, John knew he was truly free from the offense. John reminds us that the ultimate objective and end result in releasing offense is reconciliation.

Daniel was very surprised to see a man sitting on one of the rocks writing in a book.  Daniel stopped and asked him who he was and why he was there on our property.  The man responded, 'I work for God. I am making notes in my books'...'What book are you writing in?'
Daniel asked.  'It is a book in which I record everything that happens in your life and your marriage. I record all the times you get angry, sad, glad, or praise the Lord. When you have problems it is my job to take my records to Jesus and ask Him to intercede with God the Father on your behalf. They are the ones who dispatch angels to help you. When you arrive in heaven, God the Father will give the book to you to read.'  Then he paused and motioned across the driveway. 'Do you see those' 2 men dressed all in black standing on the other side of the driveway writing in books?  The man continued, 'Those 2 serve Satan. They are like paralegals. They record all the same things I do; then they take the record of your failures, sins, and such to Satan and make a case to Satan that he can take to God to petition God for permission to attack you. When you have an argument with your wife that is not settled, or you fall into sin, then Satan uses that as legal ground to petition God to attack you.'   It was then that Daniel realized it was an angel and not a man he was talking with."

A critical spirit is not just a function of the Enemy. It is a definition of the Devil’s personality. Everything the Enemy does is to make you see what is wrong.  This is part of what it means that the Devil is the accuser of the Brethren (Rev.12:10).
All that the Enemy does is to get you to look at everything and everyone in ways which God does not see them.

Dickerman, Don - 5/2011 newsletter - http://www.dondickerman.net/id150.html - “'I can’t forgive my mom', she said. Her grown family and some of their children gathered and circled behind where she sat. I talked with her and explained that she must forgive in order for her to be free. 'If I forgive,' she said, 'She wins.'  'Oh no, no. When you forgive you win.' She insisted that she could not forgive her. I urged her to just simply say the words after me. 'I chose to forgive my mom'. She struggled and thru a mumble, she spoke, 'I chose to forgive...my mom.'   When she did, her entire family fell to the ground behind her! I have never seen anything like that. When she chose to forgive, she broke the chains that had even her family bound with curse. Wow...
Don’t be so easily offended that you cause someone else to be wounded. Turn it loose,
let it go, let the offender out of prison. Be the encourager! Be bigger than the 'offense' be an imitator of God. Forgive, show kindness and tenderhearted-ness, it’s an a spiritual aroma that God likes...
The Bible says that there is a FRAGRANCE of forgiveness, a sweet smelling savor to God. We can grieve His Spirit, or we can release a fragrance that blesses God...
Forgiveness is better than mercy, it is the product of grace. It is guilt without consequences. It is to God a sweet smelling aroma."

Do NOT take it personally.- You must understand,” I explain, “that the only way to ‘not take it personally’, is to take it immediately to the Father”...If it were only the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, there would be no need for our perfection. But that isn’t where it ends, is it? In the Word of God, we are told that Jesus is to have a glorious Bride, without
a spot or wrinkle. If Jesus is to have a bride that is gloriously perfect, then He must be able to understand His Bride. He must suffer as a flesh and blood man in order to do that...
If I came to Japan, a foreign country, alone, without my wife, Judith, and then returned to America and tried to relate to her all that I experienced there, she would not be able to relate fully to the Japanese culture. Had she experienced what I experienced by living in the midst of them , and she would fully understand how beauty and order are inherent in Japanese culture, from the lace seat covers in cars, to the individually wrapped and sized fruits in the stores...
In the same way, Jesus had to be born to the experience of personal human suffering, in order for Him to personally understand us in our sufferings (and vice versa)...
Paul...says in Colossians 1:24 “[I] now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind (lacking) of the afflictions of Christ, in my flesh, for His Body’s sake, which is the Church.”  Here is the part that helps us as ministers.
In verses 25-27, it says, “Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfill the Word of God—even the mystery which hath been hid from the ages and from generations; but now is made manifest to His saints. To whom God would make known, what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; what is: Christ in you, the hope of glory.”  This is what this teaching is all about. It is about getting Christ in you, Christ, the hope of your glory. We are talking about the transition that takes place from a “knowing” experience, to a “personal” experience. We are talk ing about that transition that comes from fellowshipping Christ in His sufferings, in a way that we know what we are experiencing; but we “don’t take it personally"...
If we don’t change that which is “within”, we cannot succeed in portraying Christ in our everyday living...
When I don’t take it personally it disciplines my life to stay dead (to myself and alive) in Christ Jesus...
Jesus didn’t say, or do anything, unless He heard, or saw, His Father say it, or do it...
Jesus is continually showing us the importance of speaking and communicating with the Father for ourselves as individuals. He wants it to be an individual relationship.  That is the key in learning to NOT take it personally...
For, if you are dead; and your life is hidden with Christ, you cannot take things personally. If you do; and, because of your testimony for Jesus, a person puts a gun in your face and says, “I’m going to kill you!” you will run to try and save your life...My heart and mind cried out to God, “Father...What is my responsibility to You in this situation? I need Your wisdom"...
Our Father in heaven knew something that I didn’t know. He knew how to help me say the right words to get to the boy’s heart. Romans 8:28, says, “We know that all things work together for good to them that love God"...
There were a lot of reasons I could have taken it personally. However, because of the heart of the Father, I could not hate...
One reason that it is very important we don’t take things personally, is, because from our eyes, we only see one side...
(The bully/terrorist) was crying, and this is what he said, “I don’t understand.  I got my hair cut; I don’t do drugs anymore; I don’t cuss and swear; I read the Bible and I pray. I go to church; my sister gave her heart to Jesus; and now, God is taking you away from me.  Why?”  That was very hard for me. I could only tell him that there were others like him in the world  that Jesus wanted me to reach; that he was now part of a family with Jesus; that we would keep in touch; and, most
importantly, that I was proud of him.  What if I had taken it personally, that night? What if I had called the police when he did what he did to my (sons,) house, my mother, or my wife?
#4 - EXERCISE—THE KEY TO GROWING UP - Now, I want to spend some time helping you to know what to do in these situations.  I want to encourage you, that if you ask the Lord to help you understand this, He won’t start you with someone with a knife at your throat. He will start out with smaller things, like a disagreement with your brother or sister, your husband or wife, your neighbor, or somebody on the highway. How do you know what you should do in those times...
How you think about what you sense, is the act of exercising your senses...
We must begin to exercise our senses to discern 2 things—either good or evil...
The problem comes if we take it personally, and we don’t take it to the Father.  How do we take it to the Father.
Perhaps I see something that causes my mind to think lustfully.  What do I do with that thought? If I take it personally, I think about it in my mind; and it will (take root and) become sin. However, I am not allowed to do that; because I remember that Colossians 3:3 tells me that I am dead and buried with Christ in God...When sin enters our body, we die,
because sin cuts off our fellowship and communication with the Father...The question is not whether you have sinned.
The question is, rather, what do you do with sin when you see it, hear it, smell it, taste it or touch it?  Do you take it personally and try to deal with it with your own wisdom; or do you take it to the Father?
Jesus taught us by word and example how to bruise Satan’s head and be restored in fellowship with our Father. If, as you are reading this, you realize that you have never taken the “good news” of Jesus’ birth, death and resurrection personally, now may be your time to begin exercising your senses unto life and not unto death:
Father God, in the name of Your Son Jesus and the resurrection power of Your Holy Spirit:
I ask You to come into my heart and my life, freely giving to me that ability to communicate and fellowship with You.
I recognize that I have been dead in fellowship with You because of my sins.
I have hidden away as Adam and Eve hid themselves; and have sought to provide my own covering for my sins, as they did with fig leaves...Now I realize, that in doing this, I have never really known true fellowship and forgiveness.
I believe you are the only One Who can save me with an eternal salvation when I call upon You.
I believe You will restore me to fellowship with yourself as my Creator-Father-Friend, and as the One Who promises He will never forsake me or leave me to myself again.
Thank You, Jesus, for coming to this earth and showing me how to be restored to our Father. Thank You, Jesus, for paying the penalty that was required to cover my sins, Your own precious Blood, spilled from the cross. Thank You, Holy Spirit for coming into my heart now, in answer to Jesus’ prayer to teach me how to not take it personally anymore. Amen

Hagin, Kenneth W (Junior) - Taking on the Offense of Others 10/2008 The Word of Faith magazine editorial  www.khm.org  www.rhema.org - Gossip (tattling), repeating of transgressions against oneself (or others), for the purpose of self-gratification, infects others with a spirit of offense.  Others take on (pick up/catch/become infested with) our offense, unwittingly and spread it to other family/business/church members.  Danger.
Hagin, Kenneth W (Junior) - Love Triumphs over Offense 2/2009 The Word of Faith magazine editorial  www.khm.org  www.rhema.org - Like the excess accumulation of cholesterol in the arteries, "just a 'little' grudge that you refuse or neglect to deal with can fester and become bigger and bigger, until it cuts off the flow of the (Holy) Spirit within."

Ryan Johnson - Prophetic Vision: The Spirit of Offense Wants to Attack You in These 8 Ways – 11/27/2017 - 8 tentacles
Offense operates like the arms and the legs of an octopus. Offense has the sole purpose to attach itself to you (to entangle you), and I believe that the Lord is detailing how a spirit of offense will come against you in 8 different ways…
1.Mind…When offense takes root, the first place it's coming after is your mind.
If offense can attach itself to your thoughts, it owns your ability to process understanding.
The moment offense attaches itself to your mind, the ability to have clarity and peace is diminished, as everything now becomes about feeding every thought that is only directed at the hurt through offense.
2.Sight/Vision…Offense shifts your vision from fulfilling your purpose into an opposition from everyone/everything.
You're now unable to recognize what God is doing as you're devoted to see what is being done to you.
3.Heart…The moment that offense attaches itself to your heart, every single thing you do becomes toxic and dangerous.
It's out of the abundance of your heart that everything about your true intentions are revealed.
It's the moment that your heart becomes so infected that your actions become destructive to those that are around you.
4.Relationships…Offense will divide your most devoted friends (family/associates) to now become an enemy because they didn't see it your way.
5.Hearing…Dangerous is when offense affects your ability to hear what the Lord is saying.
Your (and/or others’) spiritual ear will become more tuned to the lies, manipulation and deception of the enemy.
6.Body/Health…Negative thoughts, bitterness, unforgiveness, rage, frustration, unwarranted worries, strife and so forth will eventually take a toll on your physical health.
7.Time…When offense attaches itself to you, your time becomes consumed with proving others wrong and you right.
You become consumed with payback or restitution to what was done to you. Instead of being about the Father's business, your No. 1 priority is you.  Therefore your time is now robbed from your own offense.
8.Finances…

Meyer, Joyce - Letting Go of Offenses editorial in 5/2006 magazine Enjoying Everyday Life  www.joycemeyer.org  Article urges us to forgive, pray for, & bless those who hurt us.  It says that holding onto offenses is holding onto unforgiveness, which grow roots, roots of bitterness, poison/imprisonment to our souls and strongholds for demons.  Rehearsing offenses in our minds infects the entire personality + our relationships, including our relationship with God.  Forgiveness is NOT a feeling, but rather a decision, a choice (which Satan will NOT like). We even have to go the extra mile to NOT curse them with our mouth through gossip/tattling/bad mouthing/digging up the past - to the wrong people/neighbors/ relatives (excluding police/doctors or a dependant who might need protection).
John 20:22-23 tells us that Jesus said..."Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive (pardon) anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven."

http://newbreedmovement.wordpress.com/10-five-ways-of-praying-the-light-into-a-situation/
1. If you feel spiritually/emotionally/physically harassed then "Pray: (In Jesus name) Father God,
I Declare Your Light Jesus Christ into the Roots of Iniquity that are empowering demonic structures
(Name off whatever you feel that is evil from the enemy ): _____ , _____, _____ .
(In Jesus name, every mentioned) Root of Iniquity break and dissolve.
(In Jesus name) Root of Light, be planted in every hole from which iniquity was uprooted and bear Fruit opposite of the Iniquity (peace for fear, etc. according to - Speak whatever scriptures replace the harassment) AMEN!
2. If you feel something is between you and another person then Pray: (In Jesus name) Father God, I declare Your (Holy) Spirit (Dynamos resurrection) Light between ( _____ ) and ( _____ ).
(In Jesus name, evil) spirits of wickedness that are coming between us/them, be exposed.
(In Jesus name) Father God, I invite Your Light to shine into the atmosphere between us (to expose & burn up all animosity and evil.  Thanks and)  amen."

Renner, Rick - http://www.renner.org/offense/what-should-you-do-when-you-get-offended/ - "An offense usually occurs when you see, hear, or experience a behavior that is so different from what you expected that it causes you to falter, totter, and wobble in your soul. In fact, you are so stunned by what you have observed or by a failed expectation that you lose your footing emotionally. Before you know it, you are dumbfounded and flabbergasted about something. Then your shock turns into disbelief; your disbelief into disappointment; and your disappointment into offense...
If you discover that you have been a source of offense to someone else, take the mature path and go ask that person to forgive you. And don’t get defensive, for that will only make the problem worse. It may even lead to a deeper conflict, so just say you are sorry and move on!  Do everything you can to bury that offense and destroy what the devil is trying to do between you. Make it your personal aim to help that other person overcome what he thinks you did or said. Sometimes it is more important to help the other person attain a position of peace than it is to prove who is right or wrong...
Lord, I want to repent for ever being a source of offense to anyone.
I am asking You to forgive me for fighting to prove my point in the past when I should have just gone to that other person and apologized, asking for his forgiveness. If I ever find out I’ve offended someone again, please help me deal with it more maturely than I have in the past. Jesus, I also need You to help me remember that when others do things
that make me sad or that disappoint me, they probably didn’t mean to do it.
Help me give them the same mercy and grace that I hope others will give me, I pray in Jesus' name...
I CONFESS that:
I am a source of blessing and not a cause of offense!
I do everything in my power to communicate correct messages.
I immediately move to bring healing and restoration whenever
misunderstanding and offense has occurred between myself and someone else.
I do everything I can to bury that offense and to destroy what the devil is trying to do.
I make it my aim to walk in the Spirit, to speak the love of God into every situation,
and to refuse to let the devil use me to cause others to trip and fall, all in Jesus' name.

Andy Sanders and Bill Yount 10/25/2018 - Prophecy: God Is Healing Christian Relationships This Fall Season - "The person who is least like you and sees things so differently may be the best asset for your future. God's purpose for you can come packaged in a way we may dislike.  The person that you least agree with might be the person that you need the most.  Relationships this fall that are ‘straining’ are actually in ‘training’ to win future spiritual battles.  God works through the least likely people and channels. He is anointing the peasant to one day handle kingdom finances.  He is empowering the shy and timid to one day speak boldly to thousands. He is commissioning the illiterate to write profound kingdom revelation & godly principles. He will use you in unexpected ways; He will use the least likely around you as well. Supernatural breakthrough will come through unexpected circumstances.
Misunderstandings Can Be the Enemy's Trap - Misunderstandings come and go. We've all had them. However, in this current (spiritual) season (beginning fall of 2018), the enemy will attempt to use basic miscommunication & simple misunderstandings to try to bring division...
The enemy knows that if he can divide the church, then he has a divided country (friend/family/business). Unresolved misunderstandings & personal offense can kill relationships & ministries more than anything else. As Christians, we must move quickly to prayer & humility to resolve these types of issues.  The Lord is saying, ‘I have put certain gems of wisdom in some people you may not like. Love everyone for their own good and well-being. Yes, that does include your enemies.’
(From Bill Yount)
I will never forget what the Lord said during a time that I was deeply wounded. He said, ‘Son, if you will bless your enemy, I will bless you.’ My desire to be blessed by the Lord made it so much easier to forgive & bless those who had hurt me.
Don't Forget the Duct Tape -(James 1:19, MEV).  Therefore, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger. - Have you ever wished you could take back the words you said to someone?  The next time you are tempted to say some-thing out of your emotions, pretend that you are placing duct tape over your mouth.  Don't speak about that situation for the next 24 hours. While you're waiting, pray! [We are not saying be in silence during this time.  We are suggesting that you not say (out loud) anything about the situation that is upsetting you until after you have prayed for a day (especially in tongues)]…
God doesn't shake His body, because His body doesn't need shaking.  God is shaking what was never intended to be. If your life or ministry is being shaken, it is because God is bringing up to the surface that which didn't belong in the 1st place.
God doesn't shake fruit that is whole (ripe); He picks it, not letting it fall and get damaged. When something is shaking, it is because the tree has some bad fruit and dead leaves, so He shakes the bad stuff off to reveal and preserve the good fruit.
During a "shaky time" in our lives, we need to be careful that we're not becoming angry at God for the wrong reasons. Sometimes He is shaking something to reveal a better way. This is His grace in action not His wrath. Losing a job now can mean that a better one is on its way. God's plan is always restoration. He is constantly working ways to bring us into a deeper love relations
hip with Him

Souza, Katie - Lesson #19 - Activation - If you need a review, go back to the archives here because now that you have learned how God heals through (1st)repentance, (2nd)the blood of Jesus and (3rd)dunamis, we are going to put it to work. Time...to get healed.  Here is the 1st activation: Put your hand on your heart or your stomach, indicating, as you decree these things, they are going to your soul. Ask Holy Spirit to remind you of someone who has offended you. Even if you have already repented for your offense and forgiven the person you still need to apply dunamis. Otherwise, you could still have a wound inside of you, which makes you angry at the person.  If it is making you angry, it can still make you sick.  So, you can say this: 'Holy Spirit, come right now. Remind me of whom I might be holding an offense against.  Holy Spirit, I ask you to bring your revelatory power right now and show my heart and mind a situation that caused me to become offended.' Now, wait on Holy Spirit a minute. Let him minister to you.  Just that simple prayer allows Holy Spirit to work. I’ll bet some of those reading this are immediately getting reminders of their situations. Put the blood of Jesus on that matter that Holy Spirit prompted in you. Say, "Lord Jesus:
I repent
for being offended at that person.
I need Your blood right now. Wash me clean of my sin of offense.
I am so sorry that I have been judgmental and critical and back-biting and offended. Please wash me of my sin.
I need Your blood to atone for the sin in my soul.

I receive
Your blood right now.
I believe
that it's washing me clean of every sin of offense that could ever wound me.
I forgive
the person who offended me.

"Souza, Katie - http://lovelyjewell.blogspot.com/2012/09/dunamis-power-of-jesus.html - 9/10/2012 -
Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power -
Jesus healed my (individual giving testimony) tooth that was aching. He revealed that it was my sin that caused it,
I repented and He healed it instantly. That was several days ago. Today I learned through Katie Souza that offenses cause different sicknesses, and particularly mouth diseases.
1st - She taught to apply the Blood of Jesus (to sin) during the repentance
2nd - and then (apply) the Dunamis Power of Jesus' Resurrection (to the soul wounds resulting from sin).
3rd - Then we made this confession (declaration) during Sid Roth show, "I am excellent of soul. I am filled with dunamis. My wounds are healed, (by) Your (Holy Spirit) power that comes trough resurrection."
katie-souza - dunamis - resurrection  http://www.xpmedia.com/article/274/dunamis-resurrection 2012 @ http://www.xpmedia.com/articles - "Every single one of us has been wounded by sin or by trauma...Job's soul was wounded by trauma.  In chapters 1 & 2 in the book of Job, we see that he had been traumatized by a series of events that ranged from everything he owned being stolen by raiders, to his children being killed by a whirlwind that caused the house to come down upon them all. Those events wounded Job's soul. We see the proof of this through Job's own words, as he repeatedly speaks about the bitterness he feels in his soul because of those traumatic events...Every person on the face of the planet has dealt with one, if not numerous traumas in their life. Those traumas caused the soul to become wounded. Once the soul is wounded, it affects every area of our lives including our emotional well-being, reactions, responses, decisions, finances, relationships and physical health...Sin is another thing that can wound the soul. When you sin against yourself or someone sins against you, that sin can literally wound you in your inner man...
(In) Psalm 41 (King David) says, 'O God, heal my soul for I have sinned against Thee.'  The psalmist had a revelation that he not only sinned and needed to be forgiven of that sin, but now that sin had wounded his soul and his soul literally needed to be healed. The Bible says that, 'all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God', which means every person on the planet is wounded in their soul because of sin.  How do we heal the soul once it gets wounded?  The healing comes through the Cross and the Resurrection of Jesus Christ...
The 1st step is to apply the blood that Jesus shed at Calvary. Apply it on (repent to Jesus for) every sin that would ever wound the soul. The blood that Jesus shed on the cross is for the sin that wounded us (and wounded Jesus on the cross). Whenever you read about the blood in the Bible, it speaks on the blood atoning for sin. The (applied) blood washes away every (confessed/repented of/forgiven) sin that could ever wound our souls. However, after the blood washes away the sin, there is still a consequence and sin can leave a wound behind. That wound is allowing us to be sick, to be financially broke, to divorce, to have problems in relationships. The good news is there is a power called dunamis that comes through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. In Philippians 3:10, Paul said, 'I want to know Him (meaning Christ) and the power of his resurrection.' The word 'power' is the Greek word dunamis, which means 'to be (whole or) excellent of soul.' Dunamis is the (Holy Spirit's) power that heals our souls of every wound caused by sin. When we partake of both the blood that comes from the cross, and (then/2nd/next) the power (or dunamis) that comes through (spiritual application of) the resurrection (lazer/light/beam/surgery), we will get a complete healing in our souls of every wound that would beset us, which (subsequently) causes (blessings to replace curses and causes) us to prosper and be in health, even as our soul prospers."

Stay Un-offendable
- 2 Step Prayer - 7/18/2013 - Healing and Health, God's Way - Healing of Soul Wounds Prayer (by Katie Souza).
STEP 1 — “Lord Jesus, I repent for every time I let myself become offended.
I ask that You take your blood and totally wash away my sins of offense.
I repent for thinking offended thoughts toward that person.
I repent for saying offended words about them.
I put Your blood on every thought of offense and every offended word I said about another person.
Wash my mind, my heart and my mouth in Your blood. Take away every sinful thought and sinful word with Your blood. Heal me of every sin of offense by the power of Your blood shed on the Cross and empower me to never become offended again. Lord, I also forgive that person for being offended at me.
Wash them of their sins of offense + cleanse them of that sin so they do not become sick.”
STEP 2 — “Now, Jesus, I ask that You would heal my soul of every wound that was created by my sins of offense.
Your blood took care of the sin, and now Your dunamis power will heal the wounds that came from my offenses.
Lord, cause me to be what dunamis means: excellent of soul. Fill/saturate my soul with power that comes through Your resurrection.
I partake of (receive/apply/appropriate) it now.
I command every deadly wound that came from my words of slander and offense to be filled with dunamis.
Heal me in both body and soul, Lord.
I decree I am excellent of soul, so now cause me to prosper and be in health even as my soul is prospered!
In Jesus’ mighty name! Amen.

"
This is the year of coming up out of the pit. Audacious faith is being birthed. True God kind of love is being birthed.
Again, faith is inseparable from love...Those who have refused to be offended by God or people will now sit in new chairs of authority and honor. Favor is being released. The temptation to be offended has been overwhelming. Jesus even said we would be offended, He guaranteed it. (Matt 18:7) It's not about who or what offends us but what we do with that offense.
Do we hold it, build a case on it, etc. or do we turn to God and let go of our right to be offended. Entitlement embraces and refuses to let offenses go...The word for offense is trap. It is a trap set for us to keep us from apprehending all God has for us. But those who have let go of offense, refused to sit in the seat of offense are coming into a new place of favor. However do not judge those who have been overcome because the level of betrayal has been ruthless in this past season and shocking at times. There is no obvious reason for it. It takes time to recover."

Finally, do not offend God, and if you do immediately repent.  Do not be ashamed nor offended by our trials, which help to test and grow us up in God and help prepare/equip us to minister to others.  The greater the trial, the greater the ministry potential.  He gives us double for our trouble.  Don't be offended when others are healed and you are not, when others see angels and you don't, when others visit heaven and you do not, when others receive glory-dust/diamonds/ manna/gold from heaven and you don't, and/or when others fail to fulfill your expectations.  John the Baptist died in jail, while Peter was rescued by an angel.

Then He reached down and broke a piece of flesh out of His right side.  His eyes were so magnificently beautiful, yet His body so bruised and broken. He handed me a piece of His flesh.  As I took it and stretched my hand out to the 1st child, it became fresh bread. I gave the bread to the children and they all ate. Then He put a simple poor man's cup next to His side and filled it with blood and water. He told me it was a cup of suffering and joy, and asked me if I would drink it...I drank it and then started to give it to the children. It became drink for them. Again He said, 'I died that there would always be enough.'  Since that day I have taken in every orphan child He put in front of me, and have asked my co-workers to do the same."

HEIDI:
The 1st thing that happened was I was offended by everything. I was offended by it all.  I was a theologian.
I didn't appreciate the theology or any of it. I was looking at people. It had been a bad habit, too. But one of them stood up and said, "There's God is healing somewhere. You're a missionary. You have double pneumonia."  I thought, oh no, did someone find out. How could they know?  They said it again, "You have double pneumonia. Take a deep breath." So I thought I have nothing to lose. I am so ill and was at the very, very back, in the corner, holding onto the wall to stand up.
I took a deep breath, and I was totally completely healed. It was awesome. Then they said, "You need to come to the front."  Then I thought, oh no, more bad theology, because they said if you don't come to the front you'll lose your healing. I'm thinking, wow, I don't even believe that. But God likes to get past a lot of things like that. He sometimes will offend the
mind to get to the heart. That's what happened with me. He really did. I went forward.  They prayed for me. Just as I thought, oh, they have big hands, they're big people and they're going to push me down. I did fall down. I don't know if they pushed me or not...I don't care.  I saw multitudes, people from every tribe, every tongue, every nation.  I saw hundreds and hundreds of thousands.  It went on.  It had no end, a sea of humanity.  I was crying out.  I'm sad to tell you this, but this is my journey, so if my journey helps someone else to say yes, my initial response to that vision was no.  I said, no, I don't want to see them. I'm tired. My husband and I are tired with 320 children.  He took a piece in this vision of his flesh, from the Son, Jesus. His eyes are eyes of burning, fiery love. But He took a piece of His flesh, just handed it to me, and said, "Feed it to the children." I said, "I can't." I'm thinking, I can't even speak, I'm sobbing.  In this vision, "How can you feed flesh to a child?" He said, "Feed it to the children. I died that there would always be enough." Holy. I reached out my hand and it (His torn flesh) turned into bread. Then He handed me a cup. It wasn’t jeweled.  It wasn't gold.  It was a poor man's cup. Water and blood flowed from the side of Yeshua. Really, it flowed from His side. Without speaking to me, He told me heart to heart, it's a cup of suffering and joy. Will you drink it?  I thought, Lord, Your eyes are burning fire, Your body is so bruised.  If You're offering it, Lord, I'll drink it. He had ripped the "no" out of me.  I drank the cup. He said, "Give it to the children." I'm thinking how? You're going too far, God. How do we give a cup of suffering and joy to a child?" The joy part, that sounds wonderful.  The suffering, He showed me the suffering of humanity that every single man, woman and child who doesn't eat, who doesn't know Yeshua, who doesn't know beautiful Jesus is, is dying of starvation. Just like the children that I picked up in the garbage year after year, just like the kids in the famine zones that are dying in my arms, they're dying of starvation, if they don't know Him. They're dying of lack of water if they don't drink of him. So I drank the cup and I passed it out. His saying to me (a 2nd time) "I died that there would always be enough," changed everything.

Stress is trying to do in an area where only God can do. Guillermo Maldonado English (u tube links)  Offense (stumbling) is also a sign of the end times...
Do NOT be that sign.  Offense (a stumbling block) takes place in the heart and emotions rather than the mind, to entrap/ensnare/rob us from our destiny in & relationship with God.  Offense allows the true state of our heart to be exposed (and thus potentially remedied/burned-up/burned-up by the fire of God).  Offences are justifiable & unjustifiable.  Illegal offenses are not an excuse to retain legally.  We can be right before man, but wrong before God...
Release them, in Jesus' name.  Do NOT apologize for the favor of God on self or others, which offends others; bless them instead.  Root of holding onto an offense is immaturity.  Manifestations/signs of immaturity: easily offended by others, easily deceived by others, insecure, dominated by emotions, not exercise self control, offended when corrected, offended when held accountable for wrongs.  Correction will bring protection, direction, perfection.  Mature person will always be held accountable by another.  Immature/offendable person will be double-minded.  What/where God has assigned you to, there (your jurisdiction) you will be fruitful.  Spiritual principle = I will reproduce according to my seed (of origin and offspring); thus I need to release those who have offense. Choosing offense is choosing death.  Reject to accept/retain offense. Isolation/withdrawal is an sign of immaturity.  Keeping/holding an offense triggers sickness/relapse/regression, hurts God's heart and holds back God's blessings in heaven from being released to us...

Ndifon, Charles - Johnston, Rhode Island, USA - www.christlove.org - www.imiraclecenter.org - According to Charles, it is imperative to keep one's focus on Jesus and off our problems or self and to disregard/reject/ignore/refuse all lies, that is everything that contradicts God's thoughts/opinion/words.  Those (who claim Christ) must be dead to self.  If we are DEAD, then we cannot acknowledge/accept/ agree with any negative emotions/feelings/illnesses/hurts that affect the flesh.  Dead people cannot be offended/hurt/diseased.  The part of us that is alive is Christ, Who is unaffected by harm.  As our brains/ minds are reformatted with the truths of scripture, then we can more and more be empowered by the Holy Spirit to do what Christ and His disciples did.  Not only that, as we become mature sons of Father God and brothers/sisters of Jesus, we think what they thought, say what they said, and do what they did (miracles/healings/signs/wonders). (In past conferences Ndifon would "encourage" individual testimony, regardless of any evidence of medical reality, mainly for the purpose of confessing the truth per heavenly reality, even though it had NOT manifested on earth.)

Katie Souza - Offenses - 9/10/2012 - transcript  Interview with Sid Roth
KATIE: "Let's just think about how often we get offended everyday. Let's just come in with the Lord right now, and just ask Him to begin to wash away that sin with His blood.  'So Lord, right now, I decree that for everybody watching...
You (Lord) are coming with Your blood, Your powerful, powerful blood from Your cross...
You, Lord are going to every single time we've been offended all the way back, systematically taking away every sin. We are offended...at our spouses, our children, our friends and family, bosses, pastors; right now we repent. We repent, Lord.  We repent for being offended at strangers. We repent for being offended at situations. We ask that You, Lord, would come so powerfully with Your blood to wash away the sin of offense, because we don't want to be sick, Lord, and we don't want to make anybody else sick with our words. So right now, Lord, atone for and wash our sins with Your mighty blood,
in the name of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.'
KATIE: Let's everybody say, 'In the name of Jesus with Your blood.'
SID:
In the name of Jesus (with Your blood).
KATIE: In the name of Jesus. Now normally we would stop right there. We would just say, 'The blood' (part of the prayer). And that's what our problem has been, because we stop at the blood. We need everything Jesus did. If Jesus was not resurrected then He would still be a dead man in a tomb. You have to have the cross AND the resurrection. They go together. We have to have everything Christ did for us. So now let's partake of the 2nd decree Jesus did for us, and that is the power called dunamis that comes through the resurrection. Now I want you to direct your attention on your soul doing this.  'Lord, we command that our souls be filled with dunamis. We command right now, in the name of Jesus, that our souls would become excellent.'
KATIE:  Everybody say 'excellent of soul.'  SID: Excellent of soul.
KATIE: Say, I am excellent of soul.  SID: I am excellent of soul.
KATIE: Say, I'm filled with dunamisSID: I'm filled with dunamis.
KATIE: Say, 'My wounds.'  SID: My wounds.
KATIE: Are being healed.  SID: Are being healed.
KATIE: Right now.  SID: Right now.
KATIE: Every time I've sinned.  SID: Every time I've sinned.
KATIE: By being offended.  SID: By being offended.
KATIE: It made a wound.  SID: It made a wound.
KATIE:
But Your power.  SID: But Your power.
KATIE: That comes.  SID: That comes.
KATIE: From the resurrection.  SID: From the resurrection.
KATIE: Is filling me now.  SID: Is filling me now.
KATIE: It's going right to my soul (mind/emotions/will).
SID:
It's going right to my soul (mind/emotions/will).
KATIE: It's healing every wound inside my soul.
SID:
It's healing every wound inside my soul.
KATIE: I am excellent of soul.  SID: I am excellent of soul.
KATIE: I am excellent of soul.  SID: I am excellent of soul (in Jesus' name).

SID: Well thank God that you're excellent (audience). I'm excellent of soul.
You (audience) can even stand up. You can shout.  Come on, stand up.
Thank you Jesus! Thank you Lord!" http://d3tnb2mam8l2qt.cloudfront.net/sites/default/files/IS669Transcript_Souza.pdf -
KATIE: We are. It's the soul. You got to understand that our spirit man became instantly perfect when it received the Messiah into our hearts, but our soul man did not become instantly perfected. Throughout our lifetimes stuff has happened to our soul.  We had traumas that have happened to us that have wounded our soul and we have done sin that has wounded our soul. The Bible talks about that how sin literally moves us. Isaiah talks about it. It says, "God binds by the hurts of His people and heals their wound inflicted by their son." That word "wound" isn't talking about physical wounds, Sid.
It's talking about the wound in your inner man, in your soul. It's talking about the pains and sorrows we feel in our soul is wounded. What happens when our soul gets wounded by sin is every-thing goes awry. I mean, our relationships go wrong.
Marriages, ministries, businesses, our finances go wrong. Our physical health, we start getting sick when our soul is wounded. The Bible says it, 3 John 1: "Beloved, I pray you prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers."

KATIE:
The Holy Spirit gave me a revelation about the cross, but also about the resurrection. See, really there's 2 simple basic steps to getting your soul healed of these wounds, and that is the blood of Jesus, the Messiah that comes from the cross and a power called dynamos that comes through the resurrection. So let's break it down. We all know about step one. Whenever we sin, I think almost every single believer understands that we need to repent, and we need to forgive and we need to apply the blood that comes from the cross to our sin, because that's what the blood does.  It takes care of the sin.  But I think what we've missed is we didn't understand that our sin literally created a wound in our soul, and that's what's making us sick many times.  See, the power that gets rid of that wound is a power called dynamos that comes through the resurrection of Jesus...
We need both the cross and the resurrection. You see, I really believe that this is the missing link that the church has not comprehended for centuries...
I had to really be fierce and do the blood and the cross, and then the dynamos power from the resurrection from my soul, and then command the fat to melt...
Proverbs 26
says that, "The words of a slander are like deadly wounds going down to the inner most part of the belly...The scripture actually says that those words are like deadly wounds that go down to the inner most part of the belly, meaning that that part of the belly is the soul. So it's saying that when we say slanderous words about people because we're offended, it not only wounds that person's soul, but it (also) wounds our soul. Remember, we'll be prospered by health even as our souls prosper."

Wilkerson, David - Offended in Christ - When God Seems slow to Answer Expectations - http://www.worldchallenge.org/node/1099 - www.worldchallenge.org - Topic redefined: Being offened AT God or By God - for His failure to Act.  Remember, God DID act to redeem the world through His son Jesus the Messiah.  It is NOW our turn to act on His act.  Each generation and each individual has this same responsibility.  However, many never SEE with their eyes the redemption they expect and die disgruntled.  How tragic.  "I want to expose Satan’s most effective, destructive device...
“The devil is setting you up, trying to ensnare you. But you can’t entertain his lies.  He (Satan) says (via my thoughts that) I’m not who I claim to be (and that God is not Who He says He is)...
Today, the devil attacks us in the same way he came against John the Baptist (and against Jesus in the garden, in the wilderness and on the cross)...The devil (may have) sensed impatience in John. Impatience is the inability to wait or bear afflictions calmly...
Impatient believers are offended when they see God working miracles all around them but not in their lives. They’re offended at what they believe is God’s slowness to answer them, and over time they feel neglected and imprisoned...When we’re offended by God, there is a danger of spinning out of faith completely.
The longer we hold onto our offense, the harder it becomes to break through our prison bars of unbelief...
All Satan had to do was to trick John into speaking 3 words. These 3 words would quickly undo all the prophecies that had been delivered centuries before. It would undo all the good that God had accomplished in and through John. And it would shipwreck the faith of untold multitudes, including generations to come. What were the 3 words that Satan wanted John to utter? (They are/were,) 'I have regrets!'  The word 'regret' means 'distress over unfulfilled expectations.' To regret is to say, 'My hopes have NOT been met.' In short, it’s a statement that refutes one’s own faith...
Yet James 1:2–4 gives us the cure: 'My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.'"  (You see, it is NOT for the mind to understand; rather it is for one's human spirit to discern by the instruction/enlightenment of the Holy Spirit!)

Commentary

One of the big consequences in allowing offenses/bitterness/unforgiveness to remain is that emotional hurts produce spiritual infections/infestations/pus which are problems or potential problems.  They are often the root cause of many diseases, the failure to progress spiritually, and/or the failure to receive healing.  If one's body if full of puss/cancer/ rot/infection it is literally eating away one's health.  It is not so much that we sin, but that we fail to forgive.  The sin of omission rather than commission.  A demon of offense can enter now or later and bring in all his bedfellows/drinking buddies/accomplices such as anger/ revenge/hatred/bitterness.  We or a demon can open the door of our heart to negative emotions and their respective demons.  This requires that we do all necessary homework to repent/rebuke/ renounce/bind/ refuse/reject any present and future negative/inappropriate/harmful emotional and/or demonic thoughts/feelings/ behaviors.
Afterwards we need to close all doors which have been opened to the enemy Satan.  We can do this.  Also, we can ask the Holy Spirit to close and lock all doors plus to fill up all the spaces vacated by the enemy.  If there is a root issue that allowed the offense and other infestations of the heart, then the Holy Spirit may need to first illuminate/expose it so we can acknowledge and repent.  If you have already gone through a season of being offended and bump into another, consider:
1 - Does this feel/seem familiar?
2 - Are the same hurts being repeated?
3 - Are both parties offended/hurt/angry/wounded?
4 - Are both parties self-righteous/haughty/arrogant/partially right?
5 - Do you recognize a pattern of behavior, such as not speaking/communicating/secrecy, retreating/ isolation/protection, retaliation/meanness/spitefulness/punishment, self-absorption/delusion, superiority/ arrogance/self-righteousness, blaming/accusation/finger pointing, and getting others to take sides.
6 - Is it a matter of fact rather than a matter of the heart, where no love exists?
7 - Ah ha.  Yes, it is the "evil spirit of offense", and perhaps many others.
8 - Never fall into the enemy's trap.  Bind that nasty spirit and claim the opposite for the situation, in the name of Jesus Christ.  Enlist Holy Spirit and His angels to defend and help both parties, that His perfect will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
9 - Recognize that you are enough of a threat to the enemy for him to attack you; that's good news.  Praise God.

Cupid is real.  He is an angel with an arrow aimed at the heart.  However, he is an evil fallen angel.  He comes to pierce our heart with wounds.  Recognize him or at least recognize his arrows.  Remember, we are corpses, dead in Christ,  so when the arrows land, remind oneself, "I am dead.  I cannot feel/accept these wounds.  I refuse/reject them, in the name of Jesus Christ.  Thanks and praise be to Jesus Christ Who bore all wounds and hurts for us.  I worship and thank you Lord.  I apologize for those wounds, sins and diseases which disfigured You so much that you were hardly recognizable.
I apologize for man's abusing/maiming You worse than any other human, due to our collusion with our  invisible enemy Satan.  When dying, both Steven and Christ said, "Father forgive them, for they know not what they are doing; hold this sin not against them."  Jesus said to the women watching Him carry His cross (our burdens), "Don't cry for Me; rather weep for yourselves;" but be reminded that every jab/gossip/ malice is a wound to His body and every retort/retaliation given from self defense/human nature is also an offense to Him.  Wait to respond to His voice and NOT the other person.

Remember not.  Never allow offenses to hang around long enough to put them into your diary.

Betrayal Commentary

#1 - Betrayal is another soul wound, perpetrated especially via governments and those on whom we wittingly or unwittingly relied.  Jesus was betrayed by His disciple Judas.  Once we recognize and can name the wound/hurt/pain, then we can repent of allowing it to stay and fester, renounce, reject and replace it in Jesus' name.
We can also invite healing and deliverance.  We can also forgive ourselves and others for entertaining/allowing it to remain/vacation/live in our lives/heart/thoughts/emotions.

#2 -
Let us meditate on each Biblical person who was betrayed, beginning with Christ.  He LOVED each individual to death,
His own.  He received negligible respect/recognition/appreciation, but rather reaped much worldly human scorn/contempt/ treachery/abuse/hate often out of their self-centeredness/jealousy/disapointment/lack-of-discernment/insight and inability to control/manipulate.  The One Who was/is the only saviour, Who they did NOT recognize, became an offense to many.
Thus we must NOT become overwhealmed when we too are bullied/rejected/disrespected.  In spiritual reality, it is Satan who is weaponizing men and institutions to attempt to take out any Judeo-Christian.  Discern and do NOT be overcome.
Let's invite Jesus to be our saviour and Holy Spirit baptizer.  Let's invite, comission and command a heavenly host to be our army.  Let's begin to speak/sing aloud and then enforce God's scripture promises.  Let's begin to become a champion, even when afraid, self-conscious.  Praise to You, Lord.

The Special Forces of God - Episode 1: Our Most Powerful Weapon (Part 2) http://vimeo.com/88788535 - Elite army comes from worshipers.  Having released all bitterness, un-forgiveness, resentment, regret, anger, remorse, should and could haves, ought to's, we can NO longer be stopped, touched, nor gripped by the enemy.  In fact, the enemy is often terrorized by us.  We, in Christ, have more resistance to being offended.  When the atmosphere is charged negatively by another entering our territory, that can be demons manifesting, which we can defuse by NOT being offended.  When someone is on the verge of salvation, sometimes the enemy will manifest negatively to get us to be offended, unforgiving, judgmental and not pray for the victim.

Sandford, John L & Paula - Transforming the Inner Man from The Transformation Series - Chapter 8 - Bitter-Root Judgment and Expectancy -
www.elijahhouse.org - Authors share that although one may eventually recognize cause and effect, until one can with the assistance of the Holy Spirit repent for such root causes, one is likely to be held emotionally and spiritually captive in his/her dilemma.  Most blame the offender rather than one's reaction to the offense.  That is key, for the spiritual law in large part pertains to our heart's reaction rather than to the bad guy or situation.  Thus like many of the Old Testament heroes, we need to repent for both others' and our wrong/immature/evil responses and to nail pre-judgment and bitterness to Christ's cross, and leave them there.  Only then can the evil seeds and roots be eradicated and replaced with emotional and spiritual health in those affected areas.  It is also the beginning of freedom from evil circumstances, as Satan has begin to lose any legal rights in that area of our lives.

Covering

Dollar, Creflo A. - http://www.cfaith.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=13454:love-covers-with-silence&catid=73:relationships&Itemid=67 - Love Covers With Silence - "I've known preachers who have fallen into sin. One of them had to check himself into an institution. He was shocked to see me the first time I went to visit him. He was so sure that, like many others, I had only come to hurt him more with words of condemnation.  He actually asked me to leave, but I refused. I had already predetermined that we would have communion together that day, so I found a cracker and some juice. Then I sat down with him to make a covenant agreement with him. I grabbed his face and said, 'I promise to love you forever. And if you should die, I'll see to it that your wife is taken care of and that your children get a 1st-class education. I will not leave you, no matter what you do. I love you unconditionally.'  (Nonetheless, one needs to watch his backside to prevent/deter an opportunist or careless/selfish/needy person from taking advantage of one's resources, time, immaturity, emotional involvement, inability to follow through.)
Be Prudent With Your Testimony
- "We must also remember to be good stewards of our personal testimonies. That means
we must allow God the freedom to direct us in what to share, how much information to give and whom to give it to. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:17, 'Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.' So unless the Lord prompts you to minister to others by sharing the sin of the past, leave things as they are. Sometimes what people don't know about you won't hurt them...You see, people are not quite ready in their human nature to deal with what you used to do. For example, you may have been a prostitute or a drug addict. You may even have been an alcoholic or a homosexual. And although the blood of Jesus has wiped away the sin of the past, there are those who are not quite mature enough to handle a testimony of that magnitude.
That's why it's so important that we learn how to walk in discretion and allow the Holy Spirit to lead us."

Covering Commentary

There are times when we need to cover another's nakedness or even our own nakedness, not to let it all hang out, not to tell all, to all.  Sometimes when we are in an emotional storm we broadcast our or other's sins of the past, often sins that God has already forgiven.  Ouch.  Then we or others get rejected and we blame the accuser or the victim, when it is all the fault of the tattle-tale.  Lord, how stupid and wrong this is.  Please forgive and fix this big mouth of ours.  Reformat our emotions and our hearts.  Give us new methods, understanding, insights and love.  Lord, please reveal to us the right times and people to whom to share any secrets, especially those that are under Your blood.  Thank You Lord.  In Jesus name.  Amen.
