Baptism of Suffering

Baptism of Suffering/Martyrdom

[Passion (such as of Christ) in English is translated as pati in Latin meaning to suffer.]

Genesis 4:10-11 Alexander Harkavy -
10He said, "What hast thou done?  The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto Me from the ground.
11Now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand

Psalm 22:24 KJV - 24 For He hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted;
neither hath He hid His face from him; but when he cried unto Him, He heard.
25 My praise shall be of Thee in the great congregation.

Psalm 56:8 NIV - Record my lament; list my tears on your scroll.  Are they not in Your record (bottle)?
Psalms-Chapter-69/21 - In
My thirst they gave Me vinegar to drink.
(Prophecy concerning Jesus as Jewish Messiah and God's Son during His crucifixion).

Isaiah 52:14  - Many were astonished at Thee (the prophesied Messiah).
His visage was so marred, more than any man, and His form more than the sons of men.

Matthew 10:28 - Do NOT be afraid of those who kill the body, but cannot kill the soul.
Rather,  be afraid of the one who can destroy both the soul and body in hell.
Matthew 10:39 - Jesus said, "He who loses his life for My sake will find it."
Matthew 11:12 KJV - From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence (from God's enemy).
The violent (men empowered with Holy Spirit) take (rescue) it by force (from God's spiritual enemy).
Matthew 20:22-23 - Jesus answered & said, "
You know not what you ask.
Are you able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of & to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with
They said, "We are able."
He said to them, "
You shall drink indeed of My cup & be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized."
(This scripture precedes the Palm Sunday chapter.)
Matthew 26:36, 39 - Jesus went with His disciples to a place called Gethsemane.
He said to them, "Sit here while I go over there and pray."
Going a little farther, He fell with His face to the ground & prayed, "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from Me.  Yet not as I will, but as You will."
(This scripture precedes the arrest and subsequent death of Jesus.)
Matthew 27:46 KJV - About the 9th hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, "Eli, Eli, Imana sabachthani."
("My God, My God, for this I was kept" is an Aramaic/Arabic idiom meaning, This was my destiny.
I was  born for this. Aramaic Scripture from New Testament)

Mark 10:29-30 TPNT - 29Jesus said, "Truly I say to you, there is no one who left (voluntarily behind or were abducted from)
house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or farms because of Me & because of the Good News,
30who would not take (receive)
100 times as much now in this time, houses & brothers, sisters & mothers, children & farms, with persecutions & in the coming age eternal life."
Mark 14:32-36 TNAB -
32They came to a place named Gethsemane. He said to His disciples, "Sit here while I pray."
33He took with Him Peter, James and John & began to be troubled & distressed.
34Then He said to them, "My soul is sorrowful even to death.  Remain here & keep watch."
35He advanced a little and fell to the ground and prayed, that if it were possible the hour might pass by Him.
36He said, "Abba, Father, all things are possible to You.
Take this cup away from Me, but mot what I will, but what You will

Luke 22:39-46 TNAB -
39Then going out He went, as was His custom, to the Mount of Olives. His disciples followed Him.
40When He arrived at the place, He said to them, "Pray that you may not undergo the test."
41After withdrawing about a stone's throw from them & kneeling, He prayed,
42saying, "Father, if You are willing, take this cup away from Me; still, not My will but Yours be done."
43[To strengthen Him an angel from heaven appeared to Him.
44He was in such agony and He prayed so fervently that His sweat became like drops of blood falling on the ground.]
45When He rose from prayer & returned to His disciples, He found them sleeping from grief.
46He said to them, "Why are you sleeping?  Get up & pray that you may not undergo the test."

Acts 5:40-41 NIV - 40They called the apostles in & had them flogged.
Then they ordered them NOT to speak in the name of Jesus, & let hem go.
41The apostles left the Sanhedrin, rejoicing because they had been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name.
Acts 9:16 TNAB - "(Ananias,) I (Jesus) will show him what he (Saul/Paul)
will have to suffer for My name
Acts 14:22-23 KJVer - We must go through much tribulation to enter into the kingdom of God.
When (after) they had ordained them elders in every church & had prayed with fasting, they (then/next) commended them to the Lord, on (in) Whom they believed.

Romans 8:14-23 NIV - Those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
You did NOT receive a(n evil) spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the (Holy) Spirit of sonship.  By Him we cry, "Abba, Father."
The Spirit Himself testifies with our (human) spirit  that we are God's children.
If we are (His) children, then we are heirs (heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ) if indeed we share in His sufferings in order that we may also share in His glory.  I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.  The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed.  Creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the One Who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay & brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.
We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.  Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the 1st-fruits of the (Holy) Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies (& souls/mind).
Romans 8:31-39 TNAB
31If God is for us, who can be against us?
32He Who did not spare His own Son but handed Him over for us all, how will He not also give us everything else along with Him?
33Who will bring a charge against God's chosen ones?  It is God Who acquits us.
34Who will condemn?
It is Christ [Jesus] Who died, was raised, is at the right hand of God & intercedes for us.
35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
Shall  trouble, hardship, persecution, famine, nakedness, danger or sword?
36As it is written (in Psalm 44), "For Your sake we are being slain all the day.
We are look upon as sheep to be slaughtered."
37No, in all these things we conquer overwhelmingly through Him Who loved us.
38For I am convinced that neither death, life, angels, principalities, present things, future things, powers,
39height, depth, nor any other (evil) creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

2nd Corinthians 1:3-5 NIV -
3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion & the God of all comfort,
4Who (through the Holy Spirit) comforts us in our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
5For just as the sufferings of Christ ('s persecution continue to) flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.
2nd Corinthians 1:6-7 WJMorford - 6If we are afflicted, it is on behalf of your comfort & salvation.
If we are comforted, it is on behalf of your comfort, which is being worked in patience by the same suffering which we are also suffering.
7Our hope on your behalf is firm, since we know that, as you are sharers of the sufferings, so also are you sharers of the comforting.
2 Corinthians 4:17-18 - For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding & eternal weight of glory. While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen:
"For the things which are seen are temporal: but the things which are not seen are eternal.
2nd Corinthians 5:21 TPNT - He (Father God) made the One (Jesus) Who did not know sin to be sin (on the cross) on our behalf, so that we ourselves would know the righteousness of God by means of Him.
2nd Corinthians 12

Philippians 3:10 KJV - I may know Him, the power of His resurrection, & the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable to His death, if by any means I might attain to the resurrection of the dead.

Colossians1:24-29 Moreford's PNT 24"Now I rejoice in my sufferings on your behalf & I make up for His absence to take on the afflictions of the Messiah, in my flesh, for the sake of His body, which is the congregation,
25 of which I have become a servant according to the divine office of God, the 1 that was given to me to bring the Word of God to completion in you
6 the mystery that has been hidden away from the ages, & from the generations, but now it has been revealed to His saints,
7 to whom God desired to make known among the heathens the wealth of the glory of this mystery, which is Messiah in you, the hope of glory:
28 which we are proclaiming, admonishing everyone & teaching everyone in all wisdom, so that we could present every person complete in Messiah:
29 and in which i toil, struggling, according to His working that which is being worked in me in power."

I rejoice in my present sufferings on your behalf! Yes,
I am completing in my own flesh what has been lacking of the Messiah’s afflictions, on behalf of his Body, the Messianic Community.
I became a servant of the Good News because God gave me this work to do for your benefit.
work is to make fully known the message from God,

the secret hidden for generations, for ages, but now made clear to the people He has set apart for Himself.
27 To them God wanted to make known how great among the Gentiles is the glorious richness of this secret.  The secret is this: the Messiah is united with you people! In that rests your hope of glory.
We, for our part, proclaim Him; we warn, confront & teach everyone in all wisdom;
so that
we may present everyone as having reached the goal, united with the Messiah.

Hebrews 2:10 NIV - In bringing many (spiritual/adopted/saved/forgiven) sons to glory, it was fitting that God, for Whom and through Whom everything exists, should make the Author (Messiah) of their (my/our) salvation perfect through suffering.
Hebrews 5:7 TNAB - In the days when He was (alive) in the flesh, He offered prayers & supplications with loud cries & tears to the One Who was able to save Him from death; (afterward/after His death)
He was heard (answered/rescued) because of His reverence.
Hebrews 5:8 KJV -
Though He was the Son (of God), He (His human nature) learned obedience by the things which He suffered.
hebrews/11-35.htm - 35Women received back their dead by resurrection;
& others were tortured, not accepting their release, so that they might obtain a better resurrection;
36and others experienced mockings & scourgings, yes, also chains & imprisonment.
37They were stoned, sawn in half, tempted & put to death with the sword.
They went about in sheepskins, in goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, ill-treated
38(men of whom the world was not worthy), wandering in deserts, mountains, caves & holes in the ground.
39All these, having gained approval through their faith, did not receive what was promised,
40because God had provided something better for us, so that apart from us they would not be made perfect
Hebrews 12:4 - You have not yet resisted to blood (martyrdom), striving against sin.
Hebrews 12:5-11 KJVer    5My son, despise not you the (rough/uncomfortable) chastening (mentoring/tutoring/afflictions/instructing/ educating/teaching/consequences due to your disobedience, allowed) of the Lord, nor faint when you are rebuked of Him.
6Whom the Lord loves He chastens (punishes/disciplines/corrects) & scourges (whips/spanks -
even Jesus Christ our substitute/propitiation/atonement) every son whom He receives.
7If you endure chastening (reprimands), God deals with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chastens not?
8If you be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are you illegitimate children & not sons.
9Furthermore, we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us & we gave them reverence.
Shall we not much rather be in subjection (submission) to the Father of spirits & live?"
10They verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure (manner/wisdom/skill/judgment);
but He for our profit, that we might be partakers of His holiness.
11No chastening for the present seems to be joyous, but (rather/instead) grievous.  Nevertheless, afterward,
it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to them which are exercised (disciplined/trained) thereby.
(Spiritual insight: Our parents do not give us a disease or harm, but rather a rebuke/
admonishment, so that we may be safe and also mature/learn from our mistakes.)

James 1:2-3 -
2Consider (count) it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials (diverse temptations/tests) of many kinds,
3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance (patience)."
James 5:13 KJVer - 13Is any among you afflicted (due to his/her testimony for Christ)?  Let him pray.

1st Peter 4:12-16 NIV -
12Do NOT be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you.
13Rejoice, that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when His glory is revealed.
14If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory & of God rests on you.
15If you suffer, it should NOT be as a murderer, thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler.
16If you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name.
1st Peter 5:10 KJV - "Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered (abused/tortured/maligned for your testimony to Christ) a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen & settle you."

Revelation 1:9 KJV - I, John, who also am your brother & companion in tribulation (suffering for the gospel) & in the kingdom & patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God & for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day & heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, saying, "I am Alpha & Omega, the 1st & last."
Revelation 2:10 -
"Be faithful until death and I will give you the crown of life."  (Christ's death was not for His own benefit.
His death was a substitute guilt offering for us, entitling us to get a free ticket into heaven.)

2nd Timothy 2:12 KJV If we suffer (for Christ), we shall also reign with Him.

Allen, AA - The Price of God's Miracle Working Power -
Chapter 1 - "Jesus was NOT persecuted while He remained in the carpenter shop at Nazareth.
But the moment He started to do mighty things, He was called the 'prince of devils' & there were many attempts to destroy His life
(See Luke 4:29).
"Peter was a 'good fellow' as long as he was a mere fisherman, but when he healed the lame man, they threw him in jail
(See Acts 3:7, 4:3)...You will NOT encounter much opposition or persecution as long as you are just a 'normal (nominal) Christian.'
But when you accept God's promises for your life and begin to do the UNUSUAL, persecution will come."
Chapter 2 The Disciple IS Not Above His Master
Fasting & "persistent habitual the cause, miracles the result...
If the disciple could attain the same results as Jesus did without paying the same price, the disciples would be greater than his master... The student of Jesus Christ CANNOT become greater than his teacher.
He cannot learn anything Jesus does not know.
He cannot find a shortcut to (Holy/healing/miracle/deliverance) power with God."
Chapter 7 The Cross  "Charles G Finney left a promising law practice to enter the ministry, an untried field for which he had no special training. He took up His cross...However, just taking up the cross is not enough.
It must be taken up DAILY...Christ never took a vacation...The cross went with Him even on vacation...
The cross was not an accident which befell Him at the end of life...
There was never a day that He would say, 'This day is My own.
I will go about My Father's business again tomorrow.'"

Chapter 11 Saints Serving in Heaven - "Work begun on earth will continue in heaven." Chapter 14 Who Are Prepared to Serve? - Suffering Saints (are being) Prepared To Be Serving Saints - astonishing
- "Those who suffer for Christ upon earth & 'enter the Kingdom of God through tribulation'
92 are exalted to highest service (housing, fellowship with & proximity to the Trinity) there. Willingly & deliberately enduring hardship for Christ they enter the highest plains in heaven. It is upon this earth where Jesus died that we prepare ourselves for service among the saints in heaven... Talmage wrote of what he saw in heaven:
'I appreciated for the 1st time what Paul said to Timothy, 'If we suffer we shall reign with Him.'
It surprised me beyond description that all the great in heaven were great sufferers. Not all? Yes, all. There was Moses, David, Ezekiel, yea all the apostles, who after lives of suffering, died by violence: beaten to death with fuller's clubs or dragged to death by mobs, or from the thrust of sword, or by exposure on barren island, or by decapitation... All high up in heaven had been great sufferers, & women more than men. Felicitas, St. Cecilia, St. Agnes, St. Agatha, St. Lucia, & women never heard of outside their own neighborhood; queens of the: needle, washtub & dairy, rewarded according to how well they did their work, whether to set a table or govern a nation, whether empress or milkmaid' (for the honor & glory of the Trinity)... Another person, led up to heaven's higher plains, says she caught a glimpse of the place from which Jesus, almost 2,000 years ago, went away to prepare for those who love Him. She saw the white light which glorified the faces of those who basked in its radiance, & she saw missionaries & others who had done slum work in the city. She says further: 'It seemed that those who had suffered most for Jesus' sake, those who 'had come up out of great tribulation' were the ones whose faces shone with the most glorious light.

section Explanation of the Mystery of Suffering -
"God is NOT interested in brokenness primarily for its temporal (refining/testing/purifying/sanctifying/maturing of character) value, great as that may be.  His Bride-elect is in training for the throne...
Suffering is God's grand strategy (apprenticeship) for creating rank in the Bridehood for His eternal enterprise...
There is NO sainthood without suffering...All born-again people are in training for rulership...
Deep dimensions of this (agape) love are learned only in the school of suffering, even after the new birth & filling with the Holy Spirit.""

Cho, David Yonggi, Seol, Korea - Successful Home Cell Groups -
Chapter 14  Preaching to a Growing Church shares that we should never suffer for personal sin, sickness, the devil, a curse, or poverty, but only for the sake of the gospel, because of persecution.  Christ removed/took care of man's problems at the cross.  Any suffering that does not bring any redeeming/spiritual (salvation/deliverance/ healing/etc) result, especially for others, causes nothing but affliction/trauma (reversible by God).
Cho, David Yonggi - The 4th Dimension  volume 1 - - publisher -
Chapter 4 Rhema shares that one's suffering can be "God-appointed" if it blesses others, especially into the kingdom of God.
But if your suffering "starts to destroy you, then this is from Satan & you should pray through & rid yourself of it...
Always focus through the lens of the uppermost  goal, the redeeming of  souls.  If you see that your suffering brings abut more redemption than your healing, then do not ask for deliverance; but ask God to give you strength to persevere."
Cho, David Yonggi - The Holy Spirit My Senior Partner - - publisher -
Chapter 5 Believers & the Holy Spirit (baptism) reminds us that Penticost made the difference between the disciples remembering + understanding Jesus' teachings and between remaining discouraged, bewildered & impotent to serve God.  "The Holy Spirit did not lead Jesus to be tempted so as to destroy Him.  This temptation of the devil was (allowed) only to discipline Him.  Likewise, the Holy Spirit is with us & teaches us, both when we sense the wonderful grace and truth of God & when we feel as if we have been deserted."  Remember, Christ "felt in His human flesh/mind/emotions" that God had abandoned Him on the cross. Human flesh is Not a discerner/perceiver of truth.  Our human spirit is tutored/mentored by the Holy Spirit daily as we permit/woo/worship/listen to Him.
Our human spirit (the part of us that has eternal life when we ask Jesus to be our savior) receives what insights the Holy Spirit gives & transmits to our other human parts (flesh/mind/emotions).
"The spiritual teaching of the Holy Spirit is in progress naturally, in every field of our human will, feelings & intelligence.  Through our will & emotions, the Holy Spirit brings us into the likeness of Christ"...
Let us never "belittle or neglect to live out the teachings of the Holy Spirit that we receive through real-life tests & experiences as well as through the Word."  God's Holy Spirit "school has neither holiday nor vacation."

Chapter 3 The New Ministry Model  "God used (and continues to use) ordinary people who received (make themselves available to receive) an extraordinary mandate & Heaven's virtue to achieve its (Penticost's) fulfillment...
He (Jesus Messiah) shall receive the full measure of His reward for His sufferings."
Revelation 6:10 TPNT  Are You not judging and exonerating our blood from those who live upon the earth?
Chapter 4 The Transition  "The Apocrypha tells us that Isaiah was 'sawn asunder with a wooden saw' because of that generation's hardness of heart & absence of revelatory insight"... Sometimes the Lord permits/encourages bullies/evil/demons to torment us, thus allowing us in the natural to gain spiritual insight/muscle necessary to war against demonic principalities later on in life, experiences without which in spiritual warfare we would be useless/annihilated/ taken advantage of/kidnapped/continually defeated.

Duplantis, Jesse @
(edited excerpt)

Paul "said, "Our affliction is but for a moment. People have made it a lifetime. Change it back to a moment."
I get goose bumps when I think about that. It's a moment, not a lifetime.
"Change it back to a moment," Paul told me. I have used Paul's statement in seminars & people compliment me for the message, but that word didn't come from me. It came from Paul. Look at how Paul said it in 2 Corinthians 4:17,18: For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding & eternal weight of glory. While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen:
for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal
Paul continued to speak to me, "Change it back to a moment, Jesse." Then he whispered, "Change it back to a moment.  Don't leave it a lifetime. I've kept the faith, & that's how it's done. & it worked."

Early, Dave - The 21 Most Effective Prayers of the Bible - publisher - Chapter 19  Increase Our Faith - The Prayer of the Disciples - Luke 17:5  reminds us that not only was Jesus martyred, but also His disciples.  James, John's brother, was executed; Matthew was killed by the sword; John was boiled in boiling oil; Peter & Andrew were crucified on a X-shaped cross; James the Just was thrown down 100 feet & then clubbed to death; Matthias + James the Greater (with his new convert, a Roman officer) were beheaded.
Bartholomew (Nathaniel) was martyred by whipping; Thomas was stabbed with a spear.

Ferrell, Ana - Seated in Heavenly Places - - There is a "relationship that exists between being a participant in the sufferings of Christ & producing the light & the authority that dispels the darkness"
(of evil & deceit).
Chapter 2 The Throne of God section I Came to Judgment before the Great Judge of the Universe -
There is a place of loneliness in Ministry training by the Holy Spirit, where one will be unable to see or hear God for a season, where the holy fire of God will allow refining/purification, including demonic attacks, such as came upon Job in the Old Testament.
[This reminds us of the time when Jesus on the cross cried out that He had been forsaken by His Father God; but that was His sense of loneliness, that of his feeling being abandoned.  Nonetheless, God had NOT abandoned Jesus, even though His 5 senses & His human spirit told him otherwise.]
Ferrell, L Emerson - Immersed in Him - -
"Persecution from those who refuse repentance is the fire used to baptize us & destroy them."

Grable, Steve - 3/2009 - "The Lord...spoke to me saying, 'This is the Status Quo, this is a time that my people will struggle & suffer & learn. But when the end times, the hard times come, My people will rise to the top like cream.'”  "We are about to set voyage upon an adventure of a life-time. Many men of the Bible have desired to stand in time where we stand here & now & have longed to see the events of our day come to pass. We are a most privileged and chosen generation.  You & I are about to become witnesses of marvelous things, things too impossible to imagine, events that have been designed by our God before the foundation of the world. We are at that designated place in history & have been called & anointed to bring the Good News of Jesus to a dying world that will affect the decisions of the multitudes. For all eternity, every resident of Heaven will remember these final days as the great Victory of the Saints through the power of our God & our Lord Jesus.  We are on that very edge of His Glory.
Every Believer who is focused upon the Lord will be used mightily." -   edited
Gruver, Henry -
[CARRYING OTHERS’ SUFFERING IN OUR BODY] - In an area of Siberia where many saints had been martyred, I could hardly sleep for 9 days and nights, until I found myself at the point of exhaustion.
I would fall asleep for about an hour and a half, then stir out of that sleep, hearing those cries.  I would get up and walk the floor, reading Isaiah 53, clinging to it & embracing it. I would cry out to the Lord, “You haven’t given me any understanding of what I am experiencing.” I had no idea what it was all about until the end of the 9th day.
As I was walking that city my bronchial tubes froze. It was April; the sun was shining and I didn’t cover my face. What I didn’t realize was that it was 20 degrees below zero. I didn’t know what had happened to me. I just knew that the fever & the pain of every breath I took, combined with the inability to sleep more than an hour or so, was like torture. I kept walking because I kept hearing the cries of innocent blood, particularly on 1 hill above the city.
I kept remitting the sins of the innocent blood
, but the Lord wouldn’t tell me what had happened on that hill.  The last day I was there, I asked a local man if he knew the history of the area, & of that hill in particular.
He was a man of position & honor & spoke English very well.
“Oh,” he explained, “that is called The Red Hill.”  69 It was covered with snow at the time, so I inquired, “Why is it called The Red Hill?”  “Well,” he started to say, as he hesitated for a moment, “it doesn’t make me happy to tell you this; but people like you, we took them up on that hill & lined them up & machine-gunned them down.
We had to; we were order to do it.  If we would not have obeyed those orders, we would have been shot also.
We then used a bulldozer to cover their fallen bodies. That whole hill is full of bodies of people like you.”
[He meant Christians.]  That certainly explained why the cries persisted in my spirit.
It was truly the cries of innocents (martyrs) who had given their lives…
I hadn’t realized the power of that innocent blood in that hill.
Again that night I got my hour & a half of sleep before I awakened again to the cries of pain in my body.
Once more I walked the floor.  Jesus, I don’t understand,” I told Him…
He spoke these words to me very gently & sweetly. “
You are in a heated room.
You can crawl into a comfortable bed for that hour & a half of rest.
You can fellowship with the saints in this city without fear. Can I not count you worthy to enter into the fellowship of the sufferings of those who would not accept deliverance
? (Hebrews 11:35)
Can I not account you worthy to experience some of what they went through, “not accepting deliverance that they might obtain a better resurrection
Hearing those words, I fell on my face & broke into weeping.
“Oh, Jesus,” I sobbed, “don’t ever take this off from me.
I’m (now) willing to carry this affliction the rest of my life, until I go to the grave.
Don’t take if off me, if it will bring glory to Your name.” I sincerely meant every word…
(But subsequently Pastor Dick) stated…“The Lord has been talking to me about you while you were preaching tonight… He told me that you have been carrying this affliction in your body, & that a couple of nights ago you told him you would be willing to carry it the rest of your life. He told me to tell you that He has accounted to you as though you had carried it the rest of your life. You have the reward, but He is going to take it off from you, because He wants your strength to remain for many days.” (This spiritual twist/insight on the Bride of Christ suffering with Christ on the cross (martyrdom) aligns to some degree with Catholic theology.  Invite Holy Spirit to enlighten/align us with scripture/Father's perspective.) philippians/3-10.htm
- 10I want to know Christ and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to Him in His death11so that I may somehow attain to the resurrection from the dead. 12Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been perfected, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.

Chapter 7 On Suffering is recommended reading for those suffering persecution & rejection
Those suffering from disability & infirmity
"2. O how inexpressibly great is the loss sustained by mankind from the neglect of the interior life.
What an account will those have to render who are entrusted with the care of souls & have not discovered & communicated to their flock this hidden treasure.
3. Some excuse themselves by saying, that there is danger in this way, or that simple persons are incapable of comprehending the things of the Spirit. But the oracles of truth affirm the contrary: "The Lord loveth those who walk simply." (Prov. xii. 22, vulg.) But what danger can there be in walking in the only true way, which is Jesus Christ, giving ourselves up to Him, fixing our eye continually on Him, placing all our confidence in his grace, & tending with all the strength of our soul to his purest love?4. The simple ones, so far from being incapable of this perfection, are, by their docility, innocence, & humility, peculiarly qualified for its attainment; &, as they are not accustomed to reasoning, they are less tenacious of their own opinions. Even from their want of learning, they submit more freely to the teachings of the divine Spirit; whereas others, who are cramped & blinded by self-sufficiency, offer much greater resistance to the operations of grace."

Hagin, Kenneth E @
or  I Believe in Visions Kenneth E Hagin – Ekklesia - edited section: Seeing Jesus' Wounds - Then the Lord said to me, "Stretch forth thine hand." He held His own hands out before Him. I looked into them. For some reason I expected to see a scar in each hand where the nails had pierced His flesh. I should have known better, but many times we get ideas that are not really scriptural, yet they are accepted beliefs. Instead of scars I saw in the palms of His hands the wounds of the crucifixion: 3-cornered, jagged holes.  Each hole was large enough for me to have put my finger in it.  I could see light on the other side of the hole.  After the vision, I got out my Bible & turned to the 20th chapter in John's Gospel to read about the time (pg.53) Christ appeared to His disciples following His resurrection.  When He 1st appeared to them, Thomas was not with them. They told Thomas they had seen the Lord, but Thomas was unbelieving & said, "Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, put my finger into the print of the nails & thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe" (John 20:25).  8 days later while the disciples, including Thomas, were together in a room, Jesus appeared again in their midst. He turned to Thomas & said, "Reach hither thy finger, behold My hands; reach hither thy hand, thrust it into my side & be not faithless, but believing." Then Thomas, knowing it was Jesus, exclaimed, "My Lord & God" (John 20:27,28).
I had deeper insight then into what Thomas had seen.

The Pleasure Access
- "That night that our Messiah was shedding the 1st divine drops of blood upon the soil of the local olive press of Jerusalem (known as Gethsemane), He uttered out the most defining words of all human problems known to all of us, '
Abba, if Thou art willing, remove this cup from Me
.' He did not want to drink the cup that was before Him, nor did He want to obey God's predetermined plan that all the universe hinged upon His absolute obedience.  This is also the same with everyone of us who walk this decaying planet & evil world system.
There comes a time that we also do not want to do His will & are utterly overcome with disobedience to the very core of our beings.
Yet, we must choose & cannot remain neutral at this moment of testing no matter how much we all want to avoid this inescapable process.  God in His divine purpose & pre-election has determined for us to be confronted with that which we secretly hate & this test is the key to any further spiritual advancement, maturity, & rewards from Heaven.  It is in this zone of divine darkness & thick veil of mystery that the man or woman of God is defined to be that vessel of refined gold or rejected brass.

Once the decision has been made to respond with total surrender of 'Yet, not my will, but Thy will be done,' not as just a coined religious statement, but that of a total surrender to the Divine Smelter's process, then begins the access to the pleasure zone that is beyond anything life on planet Earth has to offer.
May you this morning be 1 of those who have taken this cup & have no desire to look back...
We are praying that you will have the strength to respond to His callings of deep speaking unto deep in this hour.  Lose yourself & find God."

Holtz, Scott & Dalit -12/6/2012 Champions or Heroes #3 "Our greatest honor this side of glory is to carry His reproach.  It is part of glorious honorable service to be persecuted, censured, blamed, criticized, reproach, scolded, rebuked, treated as the scum of the earth, the dregs of all things... reproached.
This is our hidden altar of Hebrews 13...
Let us go out to Him outside the camp, bearing His reproach."
(Hebrews 13:10-13 New American Standard Bible)...

There is a remnant of warrior lovers who are positioned to not only sound the shofar of warning in these last days, but also have been equipped by Abba to bear & carry His reproaches.  This is our greatest reward this side of glory...It takes great courage to speak out & evangelize in this sector & one must be prepared with great stamina against the reproaches &atroubles that are directed towards those who preach Jesus the Messiah & Risen from the dead."  Many "want the acceptance of man more than the acceptance of Heaven."
(However this can be due to many reasons including; spiritual immaturity, not God's timing, missing Holy Spirit baptism, lack of proper spiritual oversight/accountability.)

Chapter 8 Why Do the Righteous Suffer
"There are many in the healing ministry who insist that Paul did not have a physical sickness, that he was referring to his persecutions & trials of faith.
However, in the Book of Galatians he specifically said that it was because of 'a bodily ailment' that he stayed with them to preach the Gospel & reminded these people that they would have gladly plucked out their eyes & given them to him, if it were possible.
When speaking of the 'thorn in the flesh,' he called it an infirmity & so did the Lord...This is the very same word in the Greek language that is used in Matthew 8:17, where Isaiah 53:4 is quoted, 'He took our infirmities (sicknesses) & bore our diseases,' to say that Jesus fulfilled this when He healed all the sick in Peter's house."
Sin is dealt with in the next verse.  Isaiah 53:5 (KJVer) He was wounded (physically) for our transgressions.
He was bruised (pierced) for our iniquities (rebellion/sin).
The chastisement of our peace was upon Him & with (by) His stripes (wounds/ whipping)) we ARE healed (physically).
Benny Hinn explains that the front of the cross/Jesus is for the eradication of sin, while the back of the cross/Jesus is for the eradication of disease/ infirmity.
Kerr says Paul's thorn was blindness, which he contended
with & overcame in large part, evidenced by writing letters in his own hand.)

Osborn, Tommy Lee (TL) - Frontier Evangelism Many quote Psalm 34:19 KJV -
"Many are the afflictions of the righteous.  This does NOT mean sicknesses as some would have us believe.
It means trials, hardships, persecutions, temptations, etc., but never (disease, meaning) sicknesses or physical disabilities (due to inheritance or injury."
In scripture the question is, "Who has done this?  Who has sown these weeds?  Who or what has caused this disaster?  Who can we blame for this disease/problem?"  The answer was/is, "The enemy (Satan) has done this." Not God.  God may have given Satan permission, as He did regarding Job.  In Job's instance, each tragedy was a spiritual test.  Abram had a spiritual test when asked to kill his son & heir Isaac.  Jesus had a spiritual test in the dessert.  These tests were temporary, not lifelong; perhaps because they passed the test.
Those who wandered 40 years in the desert, never did pass the tests, never did learn.

Chapter & Section Learn to Reign - "
Come into that place where ye share My authority & thus I will be able to manifest forth My glory through you.  This is My greatest joy, to lift man out of enemy territory & seat him in the heavenlies with Me.  And where am I?
Even at the right hand of the Father...& ye are seated with Me, far above all principalities & powers.  Through Me ye have inherited all.
Ye can lay claim to that inheritance NOW because I have already died.
Because I have already died, ye can enter in NOW.

You do NOT gain an inheritance when you die (& go to heaven), but when (Christ Jesus, Messiah)
the testator dies.  Take it, My people.  It is yours NOW.  It is yours because of Calvary...
Think of My love...the tie-in between Calvary & this sharing of My throne life
(right NOW on earth).
want you with Me.  I want you seated beside Me, because I want you near Me, because I love you...
(We have been deputized to function on earth on His behalf, not impotently, but with audacity, in Jesus' name)
I have vested you with authority, also...Recognize your privilege to do so...Move out in the power of the Spirit into that realm where I would have you to live and move & in Me continually, & not  that ye be moving in and out of this place.  I would have you live continually in the center of the Kingdom of God, just as I have place the Kingdom within the very center of your being (when God's Holy Spirit impregnates your human spirit when you are born again; water & Holy Spirit baptism further empowers one's spirit man).

You bring this Kingdom into operation in you own life by an act of faith...
There are works which I must yet do through My body, the Church, which I could not possibly have accomplished through My own physical body in My earthly ministry...
There are sufferings yet to be accomplished in the body of the Church that I was not able to suffer on the cross
... Yea, & Praise Me when the most difficult thing to do is Praise.
This is the victory that over-cometh the world...
Faith rejoicing for victories claimed in advance...the very fabric of things hoped for...the raw material in My hands... I am happiest there, & shall make the enemy most unhappy...
This (praise) is the most powerful weapon ye can use against him
Praise is like a 2-edged sword, the 1 side bringing health to your own spirit & the other side cutting down the enemy."
Sounding of the Trumpet Section Heart Purity - "My forgiveness is in constant operation & ye need only accept it...
Renounce thy sin
(when you become aware of it & apologize for it; also forgive self.  1 apology is sufficient.
Continually 'feeling' of condemnation for a confessed sin is from one's enemy & NOT from Holy Spirit)...
Unrest & conflict that ye suffer is not caused by My attitude toward thee, but by thine attitude toward thyself... (or by thine adversary).
(3rd) If ye were bearing no fruit, ye would not be thus molested (by lying thoughts from the demonic kingdom in opposition to the Kingdom of God)...No true saint who seeketh to please Me escapes the onslaughts of the devil...Ye need the armor if ye decide to go out to battle.  For in serving Me, ye anger the enemy & he will not allow thee to gain ground spiritually without seeking to hurl against thee his poisoned arrows of doubts & accusations.  Resist him, as scripture admonishes thee.
He is not courageous, but he is sly, & he is not easily discouraged.
Ye can never escape his snare until ye recognize his activities & strike at the source...Resist...
Do not doubt My forgiveness, but close thine ears to the accuser

I Say to you, rise By Elaine Tavolacci - 10/2013 (edited) "The Lord says," I am releasing those of you who are spiritually bound and in shackles, & loosing you to be free once again.
I am cutting away the restraints that have held you captive, & releasing you into a life of liberty.
I am raising those of you who are spiritually dead back to life.
As you come out of this place of complacency, you will return to the place of peace which you have once known.  Now is the time to readjust your focus & reconsider your intentions.
When all hope seemed to be gone, those of you who have stood your ground through difficult times, will come back stronger. As I remove the grave clothes & shake all that lies dormant in your life, you will once again be radiant with My glory & you will be arrayed in garments of white. Allow Me you awaken you from spiritual death & slumber, & you will once again come into alignment & become all that you have been created to be.
As many of you have come face to face with the enemy, it has made you stronger to be able to deliver those who are trapped & imprisoned. As you arise once again you will be able to release others who are in the same trap as you have been held hostage & deliver others from the very thing that you have been set free from.
Many have fought the good fight & not allowed the calamities that have come against you to overwhelm you.
You have taken control of your thoughts & used these adverse situations as an opportunity to strengthen yourself.
You have learned to master fear & refused to give in to anxiety when confronted with stressful situations.
Go & teach others the same. As you have been tenacious in spiritual warfare, others will be inspired by your testimony.
As you allow Me to continue the work that I have began in you, you will begin to walk in a life of freedom & fulfill all that I have placed in your heart to do
,' says the Lord."

"My sister, Betsie & I were in the Nazi concentration camp at Ravensbruck because we committed the crime of loving Jews. 700 of us from Holland, France, Russia, Poland and Belgium were herded into a room built for 200. As far as I knew, Betsie & I were the only 2 representatives of Heaven in that room.  We may have been the Lord's only representatives in that place of hatred, yet because of our presence there, things changed. Jesus said, 'In the world you shall have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.' We too, are to be overcomers bringing the light of Jesus into a world filled with darkness & hate. Sometimes I get frightened as I read the Bible, & as I look in this world & see all of the tribulation & persecution promised by the Bible coming true. Now I can tell you, though, if you too are afraid, that I have just read the last pages...I can now come to shouting 'Hallelujah! Hallelujah,' for I have found where it is written that Jesus said, 'He that overcometh shall inherit all things:
I will be His God, & he shall be My son
.' This is the future & hope of this world. Not that the world will survive, but that we shall be overcomers in the midst of a dying world...Betsie & I, in the concentration camp, prayed that God would heal Betsie who was so weak & sick. 'Yes, the Lord will heal me,' Betsie said with confidence. She died the next day & I could not understand it.
They laid her thin body on the concrete floor along with all the other corpses of the women who died that day.
It was hard for me to understand, to believe that God had a purpose for all that.
Yet because of Betsie's death, today I am traveling all over the world telling people about Jesus."

Watchman Nee To-sheng - A Table In The Wilderness - book - (Daily Meditations from the Ministry of Watchman Nee, a Chinese minister imprisoned for his beliefs and testimony) - Exodus 32:29 - Consecrate yourselves today to the Lord...that He may bestow upon you a blessing.  Based on this scripture, Nee teaches a personal consecration of ourselves to God, over & above our consecration to Him at the time we accept what Jesus did for us on the cross.  Nee teaches a consecration that excludes any work we may do for the Lord.  It is a personal relationship, like that of a wedding, compared to an earlier bridal engagement, as at salvation.  Engagements often have 1 ring for the finger of the bride-to-be.  At weddings there is often a second ring for the bride.  Nee teaches a consecration to the "will of God."  During many marriage vows we say that we will marry our mate for better or worse, in sickness until death.  It is a life commitment.
f you make such a consecration, mark the date in your Bible; then renew that commitment each year.

5th Priestly Immersion of Suffering - -
"the 5th 'immersion' - The 1 that we would all just rather forget; the 'Immersion of Suffering'. As Yahshua was going to Yerushalayim to offer Himself up, we read in Mattityahu (Matthew) 20: 20-28
Then the mother of the sons of Zabdai came to Him with her sons, bowing down, making a request of Him.  He said to her, 'What do you wish?'
She said to Him, 'Command that these 2 sons of mine might sit, 1 on Your right hand & the other on the left, in Your reign.'  But Yahshua answering, said, 'You do not know what you ask.  Are you able to
drink the cup that I am about to drink, & to be immersed with the immersion that I am immersed with?'
They said to Him, 'We are able.'  He said to them, '
You shall indeed drink My cup, & you shall be immersed with the immersion that I am immersed with. But to sit on My right hand & on My left is not Mine to give, but it is for those for whom it has been prepared by My Father.'   When the 10 heard it, they were displeased at the 2 brothers.  But Yahshua called them near & said, 'You know that the rulers of the gentiles are masters over them, & those who are great exercise authority over them. But it shall not be so among you, but whoever wishes to become great among you, let him be your servant. Whoever wishes to be 1st among you; let him be your servant, even as the Son of Adam did not come to be served, but to serve, & to give His life as a ransom for many.'
This is also recorded in Mark 10."

Heidi Baker: "You Are Lord Over All Storms" ( - 5/2/2022
Here's Why Not to Give Up by Heidi Baker - 2014 from Birthing the Miraculous - "I might have given up when people shot at me or when gangs were chasing me. I might have given up when we were in deep psychological distress after friends of ours in the Congo were dismembered with machetes in a church. I might have given up when I was reported in the newspapers as a drug dealer because of mistaken results at a lab, where they were testing some vitamins that were donated to us. I might have given up on the 5th, 6th or 7th occasion when crowds began to stone me for preaching about Jesus. Most especially, I might have given up when my husband, Rolland, got cerebral malaria & suffered a series of micro-strokes that almost killed him. Though he was eventually healed, for 2 years he lost his short-term memory & was totally unable to function in ministry or administration.
The only reason I did not give up any of these times was because I know the One who placed His promises within me. When you know Him intimately, you never give up, because He is worthy.
You have to wait a long time for some promises.
I was 16 when the Lord told me I had a destiny
in Africa, Asia & England.
It took me over 20 years before I reached Mozambique & began to step into that piece of my calling. Truthfully, I am being overshadowed more now than I have ever been before.
At times it is still very uncomfortable. There are days when I feel terribly stretched as God's promises grow within me, but even those days are a joy because I long to birth what God has given me.  Continue to carry your promises faithfully. Nurture them as they grow.
It does not matter how old you are. It is never too late.
The Lord wants to take you beyond who you are & what you can do.
God is the One who can take a barren woman in her old age & make her fruitful for the 1st time, just as the angel told Mary:

Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, & she who was said to be unable to conceive is in her 6th month.  For no word from God will ever fail"
(Luke 1:36-37, NIV). 2 things will come from being over-shadowed. The 1st is a particular promise from God that is naturally impossible to fulfill. The 2nd is a general promise from God that nothing is impossible with Him...If we are wise, we will make the choice to say yes to God many times a day. We say yes to taking the time to worship, to having a positive attitude, to releasing people, to stopping for people when we might be in a hurry, to trusting God for a seemingly impossible financial situation.
Our yes is a daily choice. There is a daily sacrifice & a daily joy as we participate in God's dreams for this world.
As we do this, we participate with Jesus in the sacrifices He too made for the joy that was set before Him.
What an awesome privilege!"
Baker, Rolland - 6/25/2010 - - "We rejoice that we participate in His sufferings, so that we may be overjoyed when His glory is revealed. To the end of this age we will endure evil opposition & glorify God by overcoming with faith proven to be genuine. In all our troubles, our joy knows no bounds. As aliens & strangers in this world, we look forward to our perfect inheritance, kept in heaven for us.  In heaven Jesus will be exalted for His obedient suffering, & in the same way we will share in His reward. We conquer by taking the low road. We gain life by losing it, for His sake. We humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God that He may exalt us at the proper time. We learn to love by laying down our lives for others, & in so doing, minister to God Himself."

Ballard, Yolanda - Let Their Cries be Heard by Yolanda Ballard 1/6/2014 (Prophetic words) - "
The flesh must die so that the spirit may live. Join hands with Me around the world so that I may have reverence bestowed upon the hundreds of millions of martyrs who die for Me every day, not just a physical death, but financial, emotional, every way possible. They live so that I may have the opportunity to enter those places many dare to enter for these are even the places that angels dare to tread. These are the places where many face lions in My name. These are the places where deep dark secrets are told where many share in the sufferings of Christ, for in these dark dungeons many experience the stories that the early church lived, where John the Baptist was beheaded, where Stephen was stoned, where Jesus carried the Cross, where lions ate them as their meal, where many were burned for their faith. Listen to their cries in the dark of night as they cry out to Me, their Heavenly Father, for I listen to their cries & their pain as they take the blows against My forehead once again & again. For they are My beloved faithful ones who loved not their lives unto death. They held on to their faith no matter what the cost & were the seeds planted in the earth that a bumper crop harvest could grow up from. Listen to the cries of their hearts as they take the sufferings so that you may be free to spread My word around the world. They are those who give you the strength that you may stand strong. They are those who take the pain so that you don't have to. They are those who are the mighty warriors of Christ, the brave & courageous ones who have a double portion of My anointing who stand up to the lions in My name & would not back down. These are the ones who receive double honor before My throne.
They are the soldiers of Christ that carry a banner of My love into battle who fight for the souls of men that I gave My life for. All hail the power of Jesus name. Let all kings prostrate fall. For they are kings & priests around My throne. They paid the price that you could never pay. They paid the ultimate sacrifice….their life for the salvation of multitudes for truly they were the seed planted in the ground so that a mighty oak tree could spring forth from. Unless a seed dies no life can come forth. Let their voices be heard. Let their cries be upon your heart.
Let not their life be in vain without it accomplishing what it was sent out to do.  One life for the lives of many.
They walked in My footsteps along the same path.
As they suffered they cried, 'Forgive them for they know not what they do." They had the same spirit as I have.
I was the seed planted so that multitudes could rise up to carry My same cross…1 life for the life of many.
Give them double honor for they gave their lives for their brother, the price of unconditional surrender, unconditional love

- Prophetic Word -
My word says that you shall have tribulation and you shall be persecuted. Yes, this is truth.  Look around you & you see it, & this shall be more and more. Even here in the land of 'the free'. I tell you that you will face great trouble for My sake and many will perish.  But those that lose their life for My sake will gain it...Seek forgiveness & give forgiveness. This is the only way to truly live. I plead with you.  Can you not accept that I died for you? What more must I say or do so that you shall know the truth & see that you are free? I cry out to the Father on your behalf. Come, sit at My feet that I may comfort you My brothers and sisters. Give me your hand & I will lead you beside still waters. There is nothing I withhold from My family.  The beautiful thing about light is that it cuts through the darkness & even overtakes it. Hope. There is great hope.  I am pouring out My Spirit in these last days in mighty measure.  No life has yet experienced the fullness of My Spirit, but you shall.
Yes, the oil is ready. The Angels stand ready to pour out the great anointing that I have saved up for such a time as this. Prepare yourself to receive the anointing I have for you. Of yourself, you can do nothing. But in Me there is nothing you can not do. Preparation means to humble yourself through fasting & prayer. Then, wait upon Me & I will wash you clean in My blood. The Angels will anoint your head with oil & you shall go forth to conquer.
Oh, how glorious it will be.  We will co-labor together on this earth in these last days turning the hearts of the sons to their fathers & the fathers to their sons.
When a child knows their Father, & knows their place in the family, they are no longer an orphan, & this is what we shall do together. We shall set things right. Child after child shall be set free until the last day.
It is not time to look up for 'your' redemption.
It is time to look around to your brothers & sisters on this earth & love them.
It is the question of THEIR salvation that must be on your lips & in your heart. It is time to be the light.
I am not coming to take you away yet because instead I desire to live through you in these last days.
Together we will bring in the greatest harvest of souls this world has ever known...
Many of you will get to experience for yourselves the fullness of who I am, & who you are in Me.
As you come out of this world, you step into My kingdom.
Understand this, My kingdom comes on this earth today

“Suddenly a vision of a ‘big door’ stood before me. On the other side of the door, I saw enemies using the force of their bodies to keep the door shut & locked. He said we are coming into a season of great opportunities that will trigger demonic opposition. He said 'The greater the opposition against my people, the greater the opportunity I will give unto them as a sign.' Instantly, the Lord took me to the Scripture that says: For a great & effective door has opened to me, & there are many adversaries. (1 Cor. 16:9).”

Dr. Paul Brand, a missionary surgeon...headed the rehabilitation branch of America’s only leprosarium (at that time) Brand’s discovery in the physical realm closely parallels the moral argument for pain offered by C. S. Lewis in
The Problem of Pain.
Just as physical pain is an early warning system to the brain, it is a warning system to the soul.
Pain is a megaphone of God which, sometimes murmuring, sometimes shouting, reminds us that some thing is wrong."

Hagin, Kenneth - The Word of Faith magazine  1/2009 - Faith In Action editorial Receiving What Is Yours - For 99 % of individuals the following would apply.
That "God always answers our prayers with a 'yes', sometimes with a 'no,' & sometimes with a 'wait a while' human reasoning & doesn't line up with what the Bible says.
John 15:7 says, 'If ye abide in Me & My Words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, & it shall be done unto you.'"
(What this means, for instance, is that if your church doctrine teaches that suffering is good for you &/or will help you to get into heaven, then such teaching does NOT line up with Jesus' words & will also speed up your demise, just what the enemy ordered.
God provided Jesus as our means to accomplish the defeat of premature death, disease, & mental illness.
When we do not aggressively avail ourselves of His work on the cross, then we, not He, allow/encourage/enlist our own suffering.)

It means we're taking more territory in the spirit & laying a bigger foundation than we realize.
When we get that perspective in our soul, we go from being discouraged about how things have been to really encouraged & excited about what it's going to be.
We declare & decree from that (spiritual) place (where & when) Holy Spirit gives us (His) power.”
Robert Hotchkin: "An Encounter: Two Clear Paths - Which Will You Take?" ( 8/11/2021 @ (edited editorial excerpt)
The enemy knows who you are. He knows you are God's plan for this hour, hand-picked by God Almighty for this time & place to operate in His authority, move in His power & have real Kingdom impact in the earth.
The (invisible spiritual) enemy is scared of the power available to you in Christ.
That's why he, father of lies, is working overtime to convince you that you are powerless.
The Enemy Can NOT Outmaneuver God -
The good news is while the enemy is pulling out all the stops right now to take you "off the board," God has a brilliant counter move waking His people up & reminding us of who we really are:
(citizens), sons, brides, men & women made in His image.
He, too, is working to lead us onto a path in this critical hour...a very different path from the enemy's; a path of righteousness, holiness & radical impact; a path marked by His presence, power & personality; a path that will lead us to bearing witness of Jesus like never before.
The 1st step on His path begins with allowing the Lord to do a work in us in the areas where we are most struggling.
Genesis 50:20 shows that what our enemies mean for harm, God can actually use for the good, not only good for us, but good on a level that impacts nations.
hat is the type of moment we are in right now in the spirit.

Yes, the enemy has been hammering away with things he means for harm in our world, our nations, our finances, our relationships & our lives. But God can use it all for our good.
He wants us to notice the areas where we've been giving place to fear, frustration, anger, & other forms of self-indulgent carnality, & come to Him with them. He will turn it all for our good.
He will bring understanding, healing & a great grace to surrender to Him afresh & line up with Him anew.
Oh, it will be glorious. relating to Now is the Time -

“God’s chastening is not God’s way of getting even: God got even at the cross...the chastening isn’t God getting even.  It is preparing that person for something better, more valuable & worthwhile.
God chastens us ‘for our profit, that we may be partakers of his holiness’ (Heb. 12: 10).
Often God chastens the very one who, as far as anyone could tell, didn’t apparently need it or deserve it.”

Maldonado, Apostle Guillermo - How to Be a Witness with Fire and Power - 4/13/2011 -
"In the spiritual, a witness is translated to the word 'martyr', which means someone who is willing to die...
The 1st qualification to being a witness is to have seen or heard something.  You are a witness of Jesus Christ just by hearing & seeing what Jesus is doing in this ministry. If a witness does not testify, the court of law will charge you with perjury & put you in jail. The same is true in the spirit. How many times have we seen cancer disappear, people being healed & addicts delivered? Many people stop testifying because they are afraid of persecution.
If you want to be His witness, you cannot stop speaking about what you have seen & heard. God is saying you have been quiet about what God has done & is doing in your family, your life & even with what has been done on the altar here in church; that is perjury in heaven.
You qualify to be a witness of Jesus Christ...
Maybe you did not come out of drugs or prostitution but what you have seen God do is enough to testify...
The literal Greek translation of Jesus’ answer in verse 37 (John 18:) reads, 'You bet I am.'
Jesus was going to be crucified & was taken before the court though He had done nothing wrong.
He could have said, 'I did not do anything,' but He had the boldness & courage to stand before the king & hold onto His confession. Paul tells his spiritual son, Timothy, to hold onto the good confession as Jesus did.  It is in the nature of a king to stand for the truth. He challenged them with His boldness by responding, 'You bet I am a king'...
Pilate asked Jesus if He was a king because he saw Jesus by Himself, without angels or people around Him. He looked like a failure.  They saw the Son of man beaten & disfigured.
There are many people who look at you like you are a failure.
You are serving God & you don’t even have a job. You need to look at your enemy & say, 'You bet I am a child of God.'  You have to keep fighting for your deliverance & breakthrough.
Jesus was not afraid to die before Pilate. Jesus was standing there, bleeding & alone.
The devil tells you that you have made too many mistakes in your life, you are not going to go anywhere, your life is too much of a mess right now, are you really a child of God?
You are praying for the sick & you are sick yourself…are you a child of God?
Do not be afraid! Don’t be afraid to lose your business or to face persecution.
Do not be afraid of the attacks against your life.
Fight back like a warrior! Stand up and tell the devil, 'You bet I am a child of God.
I may look like a mess now, but you can bet that I am coming out of it.' Your troubles & momentary.
God is at work. You might look like a mess now, but the devil doesn’t know that, 6 months later, you will have your victory... Go back to your family & business, stand for your faith & be witness.
When the enemy challenges your faith because of your condition & questions your identity in God, stand boldly & shout, 'You bet I am a child of God.' Shout in the face of depression.
Shout in the face of your finances. Shout in the face of persecution...Every time you see a mountain, shout, 'You bet I am a child of God.'" @ editorials

We need to speak God's Truth that we are prospering, NOT speak Satan's design that we are perishing.
We need to proclaim that we are over & NOT under the flood/problem/dilemma, in Jesus' name.

Suffering precedes the manifestation of Father God's love into our lives & situations.  Do NOT quit, even if it means martyrdom, because it is the dying to self which opens the door to God.  Do not quit working for God.
Do not quit loving your unlovable situation/ neighbor/circumstance/family member.
Do not flee disgrace.  Run to the cross of Jesus Christ & cling to Him.  His heart will penetrate yours.

Baker, Heidi - From Heidi Baker  3/8/2007 -
"The Lord spoke to me from John 6 that Iris Ministries is an example of the boy with his bread & fish.
We have handed Jesus our lunch and He is multiplying it for the multitudes.
10's of thousands of people have given their hearts to Jesus in these last weeks.
The deaf have heard, the blind have seen & the poor have heard the Good News.
I don't think I have ever seen such suffering & hunger as I encountered in the camps in Zambezia.
Baker, Heidi - A Cup of Suffering & Joy  4/4/2007 by Heidi Baker - -
"Our nation Mozambique has been hammered with floods, cyclones & monster waves. Pemba, Cabo Delgado, was hit with cholera.
Finally a few kilometers from our Zimpeto children's center in Maputo, a large ammunitions dump blew up, spraying mines, missiles & shrapnel for 30 kilometers around. Hundreds of people were killed.  Houses were leveled leaving the victims crushed beneath the rubble.  I have never seen such suffering as I have seen in the last 30 days.
As I stood in the ruins of a house leveled by a missile & held a weeping women in my arms, I drank of His cup of suffering. As I embraced Marcelina, 14, Edwardo, 15, & Carvalho, 12, orphaned by the blasts, I drank His cup of suffering. After driving all day through the mud & potholes of Zambezia to minister & deliver food to a distant village devastated by floods, I rocked a tiny, starving baby in my arms & tried to find milk to no avail.
I drank the cup of His suffering.  After arriving in Caia, a town with a refugee camp on the flooded Zambezi River, I spoke to the director of a large non-governmental organization as he was evacuating his workers & helicopters because he could not get past all the corruption & red tape. I drank of the cup of suffering knowing those very helicopters could have fed many precious people stranded in the flood zones starving for weeks.
I opened my eyes wider still to see & drink the cup of suffering."

He recently went back to the very village where our dear pastor,

Surprise went back into the village in love & humility releasing forgiveness to those who killed his cousin. Thousands gathered to hear him preach. Hundreds were saved. Please pray for Pastor Ezekiel Sithole’s wife who is deeply troubled, very, very thin & left with many children to raise alone.

Another discussion is the revelation that premature death is/can be held against Satan, especially that by violence/blood-shed/murder, such as to Christ & to Abel by Cain.  Not only that, such blood shed becomes a seed for future generations.  (For instance, the blood shed by Martin Luther King was the seed for Obama becoming President of the USA on 1/20/2009, per Ferrell, Emerson in a  11/2008 editorial. )

10/3/2011- Iranian Christian to be executed for being a 'Zionist'

12/3/2008  Mike
Evans notes, "Ami Ortiz still has safety pins & screws lodged in his body.
2 of his toes were severed; his hearing was damaged; he suffered severe lacerations on his feet & legs.
He may never be able to fulfill his dream to play basketball. Both the Ortiz family & a police informant believe the attack was the result of the fact that the Ortiz family believe that Jesus was the promised Messiah.
In Ariel, the town where the Ortiz family lives, someone handed out fliers with a warning that their community had been invaded by people who believed in Jesus. 2 individuals in black skullcaps such as is worn by ultra-Orthodox Jews photographed Pastor Ortiz.  His photo & home address was also passed out on a flier in Ariel.
Ami’s family 1st suspected a Palestinian attack, but police later told them that the attacker was not Palestinian.
The bomb in the package was much more sophisticated than those used by the PLO.
There are approximately 10,000 Messianic Jews in Israel, but apparently they are thought to be a threat by at least 1 individual.  According to an article in USA Today, 'Rabbi Sholom Dov Lifschitz, head of the ultra-Orthodox Yad Leahim organization that campaigns against missionary activity in Israel, says Messianic Jews give him ‘great pain.
They are provoking...It's a miracle that worse things don't happen,’ he said.
Pastor Ortiz is not Jewish; his wife & son are. Can you imagine this happening in America & none speaking out...
Ami’s mother, Leah, wrote: 'We hope that an investigative report will put sufficient pressure on the police to cause them to finally arrest the perpetrators. We need to carefully guard our hearts from anger & frustration, & we must keep on trusting the Lord, because He will reveal the perpetrators in His time & for His glory.
There are indications that the police really are working, but there is something unrevealed & dark in this whole story which I believe will be revealed in time.'
I know beyond a doubt that the vast majority of ultra-Orthodox Jews would never do such a horrible thing. However, we cannot be silent; we cannot just hope it goes away. Our own history in America reminds us that this same kind of attack happened to Blacks in America 100 years ago. It should not be a crime to be a Jewish Christian, just as it should not be a crime to be able to share one’s faith without fear of retaliation.  Barukh....hatov shimkha u-lekha na'eh lehodot.  Blessed be...He Whose name is good & to whom it is fitting to give thanks."

Their use in the Tabernacle is a fore-shadowing of the life (& fragrance) of our Lord Jesus...The church, as the Bride of Christ, comes into such an intimate relationship with the Son of God that His love penetrates your being & your love penetrates His."
Benny shares how he began to comprehend more fully one's identification with the sufferings of Christ & how one can comfort Him even today, as did the Old Testament prophets, as he witnessed a woman travailing in prayer, comforting, & loving on Christ.
Hinn, Benny - The Fragrance of Christ #5 -
"4 spices...represent different aspects of our Lord Jesus’ personality, life & eternal communion with His Bride.
4 spices mean 4 incredible results for us as we make the Holy of Holies, the 3rd Realm of Prayer, our habitation in pursuit of 'Intimacy with God.'”  In the 1st dimension we come to be comforted.
In the next dimension Jesus comes looking for us to comfort Him.
In the 3rd dimension of prayer God inters into us as we inter into Him, as in matrimony, a foreshadowing of our union in the Trinity.

Yet, when he (Benny) answered her desperate phone call at the end of his praying in the 3rd dimension, the demons fled from her.

Suffering as Christians
11If anyone speaks, he should speak as one conveying the words of God.
If anyone serves, he should serve with the strength God supplies, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory & the power forever and ever. Amen.

"God chooses sometimes to mature his putting them in very challenging situations, which forces them to grow up fast.  I believe this is demonstrated in the life of (saint) Joseph.
He started out as the pampered favorite son of a Patriarch.
As such, he was useless to himsel & to God. So God prepared him for a great work by putting him 1st in slavery & then in prison.
A rude awakening, but the difficulties brought Joseph into great wisdom, discerning, maturity, & prepared him for a great work.  Be careful when you ask God to give you a great work to do.
The price you have to pay may be much more than you imagine."

Reuben, Maurice @ Rees Howells, Intercessor @ -
"On the way to the store on day, he heard the voice of the Lord repeating the words, 'I am the way, the truth, & the life, no man comes to the Father, but by Me.' His need for the truth of his need to the Savior flashed upon him, & in a moment he accepted Christ.
Then he told his brother & others. According to his father's will he was to forfeit every penny if he ever changed his (Jewish) religion, but his brother offered to give him $240,000, his share of the business, if he would cross the USA and retire in Montana. But Reuben replied, 'I have had the light in Pittsburgh, & I am going to witness in Pittsburgh'.
Late that Saturday night detectives came & took him to the police station. On Monday 2 doctors visited his cell & asked him about the voice he had heard. 2 hours later warders came from the asylum & took him to a room where there were 29 mentally deranged people.
The bitterness of his situation weighed heavily upon him, & seemed more than he could bear.  So he fell on his knees by his bed, & poured out his heart to the Lord. He did not know how long it had been, he seemed to have lost track of time, when a vision of Calvary appeared. It was as if he witnessed every stage of the crucifixion.
As he did, he forgot his own suffering in the sufferings of the Savior. As he gazed on the Cross, the Master Himself said to him, 'Must I bear the Cross alone, & all the world go free?' From a broken heart Reuben answered, 'No. There's a cross for everyone, & there's a cross for me.' From that hour he was a new man.
Instead of complaining at being in the asylum, he began to pray for the other 29, & to the Savior he said, 'Let me suffer for You.  Whatever You allow me to go through, I will never complain again.'
After 2 weeks his brother came to see him, & reproached him for his folly in getting himself into such a place.
'Why won't you be wise? Get out of here & go to Montana.' Reuben asked, 'Does that offer still stand?
Then it is not a medical condition but something else that is keeping me here.'
Some Christians he was on contact with began to make inquiries, & after 6 weeks his release was procured.
It became a court case.  The judge called the doctor & asked why the man had been certified insane.
The doctor stated, 'Because he heard a voice
But the Judge, who happened to be a Christian, quickly countered, 'Didn't the Apostle Paul hear a voice?'
The judge declared the whole thing a disgrace, & advised Reuben to prosecute everyone involved.
'I shall never prosecute 1,' Reuben answered back, 'But I will do 1 thing; I will pray for them.'
He crossed the courtroom & offered his hand to his brother, but he turned his back on him.
He then went to his wife; she did the same. But what a victory he had in his own soul."

"Ana (Ferrell) proclaimed word calling to her people a holy convocation in that place, the sounds of the trumpets in heavens were heard & for the new generation to move forward in their own under-standing & to bring themselves in tune into what God is doing in the present.  The Spirit of God spoke to His church through His prophetic voice exclaiming (asking) to what point would we let Him work in our lives?
To what point would we allow Him to transform us?
How far into the impossible would we go for Him? How far are we willing to follow Him & not man?
'Enter into the secret place,' said the Lord '& render your life to me, search for the truth.'
I emphasize that when the prophets were speaking, it was because they could hear the wounds of the Bleeding Father."

Wommack, Andrew - 8/7/2018 - -
thorn can be referenced in the Old Testament scripture, as people/persecution.

BEWARE of Watchman Nee's - The Latent Power of the Soul - where Nee attributes paranormal exploits (entirely) to the subconscious mind rather than to (the possibility of the meddling of) evil spirits.
However, he does not dismiss that demonic activity/influence/interference does or can exist.
BEWARE of the religious philosophy that things such as disease & trouble are to be endured (rather than contested/resisted) since Christ also suffered.  Much of what we suffer is the consequence of our wrong choices or from inherited curses.
Christ's suffering was prophesied in the Old Testament to fulfill God's promise to rescue man.
There is a huge divide between suffering/ persecution for believing in Jesus Christ & non religious suffering...
Sometimes pastors/mentors fail to remember & to remind us that most saints had to cross at least 1 bridge of suffering to get to their healing/deliverance/miracle/destiny.  Even though Jesus was born again, baptized in the Holy Spirit, operating in all the gifts & fruit of the Holy Spirit, He had to be rejected, ridiculed, tormented, shamed, & tortured unto death, prior to receiving His prize/inheritance/glory/ reward/trump card.
The 12 apostles likewise could operate in all the gifts & fruit of the Holy Spirit, even raise the dead, yet they too were martyrs.  God allowed Job to be tested through suffering before receiving double for his trouble.
Jews in every generation have been the lightening rod/scapegoat for many of the world's problems.
It seems that they in particular have had to bear a double cup of suffering on account of Jesus Christ, the Messiah & God's son.  So do NOT be discouraged nor dismayed when suffering lands on your doorstep.
It might be only a fire alarm drill, saying, "This is only a test."  God, not Satan, always has the last laugh.

Turner, Ann - Dear America - The Girl Who Chased Away Sorrow - The Diary of Sarah Nita, a Navajo (Dine) Girl, New Mexico, 1864 - book - "During the Long Walk...'to Fort Summer'...Hweeldi, a place of suffering in the Starving Time...the Day of Burning, for when the soldiers the Time of the parting of the Seasons...October... 1864."  "I hear a wounded animal sound that makes me turn around to see where it is coming from.
It isn't Kaibah, it isn't the dog.  It is me...Some other girl is doing these things, not I.
Some other person is thinking about food, about shelter & sleeping.
The girl (real person) that is Sarah Nita is hiding deep inside, saying over & over to herself, 'Where is my mother?
Where is Father?  Are you alive?'"

What is 1 reason why the physical body of Christ suffered such affliction before & on the cross?  Jesus is the body/flesh of God's Holy Spirit...We too (the church in each generation) are the a containers/body/temple/flesh of God's Spirit on the earth.
Our tortures (such as the holocaust/genocide) are borne/experienced (on the cross) & redeemed (at His resurrection) by God (Who is Trinity - Father/Son/Holy Spirit), when we operate as His body/church/temple/home in the name of Yeshua/messiah.
If invisible God is Spirit & we (Messianic Christians) are His flesh, then of course He also suffers, for the 2 have become 1 in Him on the earth.  (Remember, in heaven there is NO time, as science today defines it.)

Evans, Mike -,7340,L-4985893,00.html - autobiography regarding anti- Semitism -
“My mother was Jewish. She came from an orthodox family, whose parents arrived from Eastern Europe & Belarus,” he says. “Her grandfather was Rabbi Michael Katzenelson. She herself didn’t like Christians.
When I was 4 she told me Christians had killed Jews, that Jesus is dead & there’s no need to resurrect him, & that the pope & Hitler too were Christians. But she married my father, who was a Christian, & had 7 children with him.
“My father came from the conservative south. He raised us as Christians. He used to go to church, but he was a hypocrite too.
On Friday evenings he would get drunk, & when he’d come home, he would beat up my mother, calling her a Jewish whore, & say I was not his son but rather a bastard, an illegitimate Jewish offspring.
He therefore never called me ‘son,’ he never loved or hugged me. Instead he abused me.”
The young Mike feared for his life.
“My goal in life was to reach age 20, since I was sure my father was going to kill me before that.
When I was 11, he attempted to kill me for trying to defend my mother. That was the only time.
I had never defended her while he was beating her up. But that time I said ‘Stop it.’ He chased me, choked me.
When I looked in his eyes, I knew I was going to die, that I was never going to be 20.
I knew I wasn’t going to make it through the night. I threw up on myself & fainted.
When I opened my eyes a few hours later, I was angry I was still alive.
"I remember that anger. I prayed angrily in the dark: God, why was I born?  It didn’t make any sense.
I was a small, broken child. The moment I had said that, I (then) realized I was born to defend the Jewish people.
That night I arrived at that realization,” (the purpose/destiny for which God created him.)

Shaw, Gwen - Suffering Helps Us To Know the Father More Intimately -
“Jesus learned to know the Father through His suffering while He was a man on earth.
It wasn’t in Heaven, where everything was peaceful & beautiful & without pain, but rather, it was while He was on earth, when He suffered at the hands of man, that He learned to know Him in a way He had never known Him in the eternity of the past.  (Gwen contends she too met God before she was born)...
It is only through suffering that we are able to be drawn very close to God.”
(April, 1999, pg. 4) @ End Time Handmaidens & Servants - Cult
10/2009 editorial (Which author is deceived?)
(COMMENTARY - Yes, suffering can be a mentoring/teaching/redeeming gift/sacrament; however what Jesus suffered was NOT due to His own inadequacy/incompleteness/ imperfection/immaturity/insufficiency.
Gwen's revelation is likely a demonic delusion, NOT God's reality.  A closer truth could be the following hypothesis:
Jesus is the visible manifestation/ physical body of the Trinity.  The Holy Spirit is the invisible spirit of the Trinity.
Father God is the invisible heart/soul/mind of the Trinity.
Yet the 3 share all parts equally in the same way a human would share his own aliveness.
Doctrines of demons will remove the holiness & awe of the Trinity.
We all are candidates of deception.  Guardian angels, we enlist & appreciate your daily protection from spiritual, psychiatric & physical assaults.  Yes, suffering does fulfill both legal & spiritual laws, but God's own fulfillment of them on our behalf, has NO thing to do with the Yeshua, the 3rd part of the Trinity.
The Trinity in NO way was/is insufficient; rather, it is we who are/were insufficient, until He made us sufficient, in Him, never of/by ourselves.  Without Him we are NO thing.)

The Trinity's or Heaven's Perspective

COMMENTARY: - It may be that because heavenly time encompases earthly time (yesterday + today + tomorrow) that Father God as a parent of each human (spirit + soul + body), is tearful (yesterday + today + tomorrow) over each premature death & especially over each person who elects to reject the salvation provided by His Son Jesus Christ.
Since the (human) spirits living inside of Him come to earth to fulfill a predetermined destiny in/for/with Him, many return to Him at the termination of their "vacation" on earth, but others descend into Hell, permanently separated from their spiritual family of origin.
This leaves a permanant vacancy/hole (like Swiss cheese) in Papa God's heart.
As humans, we can begin to comprehend/emphathize with Father God in His sorrow.  Papa, we repent for both ourselves & Your other offspring, who are often so self absorbed that we rarely, if ever, comprehend Your holy agony & provision for each of us individually, in each generation.  With the help of Your Holy Spirit & holy angels, may we increasingly comfort You & help reduce this holocaust to our spiritual siblings & Your offspring.
This we pray in the name, blood & resurrection power of Your Son Jesus the Christ, our Messiah.

Satan is often the evil spirit inciting denial & betrayal.
